Drishti and Rahul, Oxford Golf Resort, Pune
Honoring traditions and surrounded by natural bounties, this couple’s wedding was an elegant celebration of love.
Drishti and Rahul’s wedding was a beautiful confluence of heartfelt traditions and modern elegance, thoughtfully planned to reflect their personalities and style. Captured in all its vibrance and intimacy by the talented team at WeddingSutra Favorite – Camera Crew, every frame conveyed their story with remarkable artistry.

How They Met
Rahul and Drishti’s story began on a dating app—a platform Rahul was just about to leave, and one Drishti had only recently joined. “It was my first day on the app, and Rahul was the first person I matched with. He was the only person I met on it,” Drishti shares. For Rahul, who had nearly given up on finding love online, it felt serendipitous. Their connection was instant, to the point that within a week, both had deleted the app. Seven months later, they were engaged, their whirlwind romance proving that love finds its way when you least expect it.

Wedding Planning
The couple envisioned their celebrations as warm, vibrant, and unforgettable. “I didn’t want anyone to feel stressed or rushed. My wish was simple: that everyone, including us, should just enjoy. And that’s exactly what happened. It was a wedding people will remember for years,” says Drishti.
The décor for each function was thoughtfully aligned with the couple’s wedding invitations and their outfits, creating harmony between design and personal style. A special effort was made to curate a variety of cuisines across events, with one delightful constant, pani puri! “It’s my favorite food, so it was at every single event. It was even waiting for me in my room after the wedding. I made sure that’s the first thing I ate as a married woman,” laughs the bride.
A significant part of the wedding’s success was their collaboration with Camera Crew. “Choosing Camera Crew was the best decision we made. They were incredibly professional right from the start, walking us through details we hadn’t even thought of. The team was organised, creative, and knew exactly what they wanted to capture. Every photoshoot was smooth and quick, and the outcome left us in awe. The photos are beautiful, the films are crisp, and the editing is exceptional. My only request was that when I looked back at the photos and videos, I should feel transported back to my wedding day. And, they delivered that perfectly,” shares Drishti with heartfelt gratitude.

Wedding Functions
Mandap Mahurat, Ganesh Puja & Grah Shanti
The festivities began with these sacred Gujarati rituals hosted by the bride’s family. Red and gold décor infused with diyas, lamps, and symbolic motifs of Lord Krishna set the spiritual tone. “It felt like a divine beginning, rooted in tradition and blessings,” recalls Drishti.
Haldi and Myra
Held at the bride’s home, this intimate gathering radiated joy. The décor was fresh and cheerful with sunflower accents and a playful swing, while guests dressed in bright yellows. Standing apart in a striking pink outfit with mogra jewelry, Drishti embodied the perfect balance of tradition and individuality.
Mehndi
An evening dedicated to music, dance, and unrestrained fun, the mehndi was designed around the bride’s look. “I wanted to stand out, so I wore a purple dress and matched the décor to it,” she smiles. The event was filled with energy, laughter, and endless dancing.
Welcome Lunch
Guests were welcomed with a Gujarati–Marwari feast that highlighted regional specialities. A unique touch was the tuck shop, where guests could curate their hampers with local Pune delicacies, a thoughtful gesture that delighted everyone.
Wedding
The wedding itself was nothing short of a fairytale. Set against a glowing sunset, the varmala unfolded under a pastel-hued mandap that was both open and expansive, ensuring every guest could share in the sacred moment. Live singers performed Gujarati wedding songs, and a live painter captured the ceremony on canvas. “Walking into that setting, surrounded by music and love, felt surreal,” shares Drishti.

Reception
Immediately after the wedding, the celebrations transitioned into an English-style reception. From their first dance to the emotional father–daughter and mother–son dances, the evening was filled with tender moments and heartfelt speeches. “It felt like such a personal celebration—we mingled, laughed, and ended with my bidaai, which was as joyful as it was emotional,” says Drishti.

Brunch
The following morning, a vineyard-themed brunch invited guests to relax after the wedding festivities. Wine, beer, and tapas-style food were served, while an anchor entertained with games and an engraving station offered customised beer and wine glasses as favours. Guests were encouraged to wear casual attire, setting the tone for a leisurely day.

Sangeet
Breaking tradition, the couple chose to host the sangeet after the wedding, ensuring that all rituals were behind them. Designed to complement their outfits, the décor framed a massive dance floor where family and friends celebrated with abandon. “As a Bollywood buff and a dancer, this was the event I looked forward to most. It was pure joy, the perfect finale to our celebrations,” says Drishti.
