Esha Kayan and Pranav Mehra, Taj Lands End, Mumbai
Fusing white and red hues with fresh blooms and vintage chandeliers, this couple’s Mumbai wedding was fuss-free yet traditional.
F&B entrepreneurs Esha Kayan and Pranav Mehra’s January wedding at Taj Lands End, Mumbai reflected their love for subtle details and tradition. Honoring their precious family members and reflecting their love for minimalism, their wedding was planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Castles and Coasters.
Wedding Planning
Namha Malhotra and Edul Mahudavala from Castles and Coasters share, “Esha, a cafe owner hailing from Kolkata and Pranav, the owner of a craft beer brand, wanted something fuss-free and beautiful. Both of them as individuals aren’t keen on too much grandeur and as we designed their wedding, we adhered to those facets of their personalities. All events were orchestrated with personalized elements that Esha and Pranav could resonate with.”
The couple shares, “From the get-go, the planning team understood our needs perfectly. As a result, we got to celebrate our love with festivities that were a reflection of our perspectives as a couple.”
Wedding Functions
Mehndi
Esha shares, “The mehndi had a very chilled vibe as it was a close-knit gathering. We just had the closest family in attendance, so it also doubled up as a meet and greet for both the families which helped them warm up to each other before the upcoming events.”
Welcome Lunch
Hosted at one of the in-house restaurants of the hotel, the welcome brunch was simply adorned with fresh blooms. Conversing over good food and warming up to each other, the guests had a fun time as they indulged in second helpings.
Cocktail
Esha shares, “The cocktail decor was very special and close to our hearts because the theme resonated with Pranav’s grandfather. Hosted within the ballroom, it revolved around the things he liked and the dishes he loved to eat. I must say, the team outdid themselves as they curated everything carefully to give us such a memorable event.”
Wedding
Easy, breezy and decorated with minimalistic floral elements in shades of red and white, the poolside open-air wedding was breathtaking. Fringed by palm trees, the mandap exuded a rustic look while fairy lights lit up the surrounding lawn.
