When Falak Valyani, met Aksh Arora, it was a match that was beautifully organized in heaven. She brought the spreadsheets, Pinterest boards, and a vision down to the last marigold petal. He brought the calm, the charm, and the signature groom-style “don’t worry, it’s all under control” vibe.
The two worlds—a Gujarati bride and a Sindhi-Punjabi groom—blended in the best way, with WeddingSutra Favorite – OH! SO Desi Events creating a love story full of colour, laughter, and heart.

Wedding Functions
Mehendi
The celebrations kicked off with an intimate Mehendi Sundowner on the Lapita Hotel terrace. The couple welcomed close friends and family for a relaxed evening filled with henna, laughter, and soft music. As the evening unfolded, there was a spontaneous Garba session, in honor of the bride’s Gujarati roots. Guests danced joyfully as the sun dipped below the Dubai horizon, marking a spirited start to the festivities.

Arabian Night Welcome Dinner
With the remaining guests arriving during the day, the family hosted a warm arrival lunch followed by a seamless check-in experience.
The lawns transformed into a vibrant souk for an Arabian-themed welcome dinner. With fresh spices, rustic carpets, cozy corners, and a dedicated henna station, the atmosphere was both immersive and elegant. Falak and Aksh made a grand entrance through an aisle of sparkling fireworks, greeted by cheers and applause.
As the sun set, Moroccan lanterns lit up the space, a live band played Arabic and Indian melodies, and the DJ turned the evening into a celebratory pre-wedding bash under the stars.

Haldi
The Haldi on the morning of Day 3 was a burst of sunshine—with vibrant decor in shades of yellow, orange, and pink to the joyful chaos of the ceremony itself. Flower-filled urlis, a playful swing photobooth, and a curated giveaway cart made it uniquely personal.
Falak and Aksh made a high-energy entrance to the beat of dhols, and an emcee from India kept the mood lively with games and crowd interactions. The Haldi ceremony soon turned playful, with friends showering Aksh in drinks—a classic groomsmen prank. A flower shower concluded the ceremony in the most photogenic way, transitioning seamlessly into a high-energy dance party led by the DJ.

Sangeet
The sangeet on Day 3 was a visual spectacle, set in a dreamy palette of midnight blue and champagne gold. Floating LED lights, mesh ceiling treatments, and moody ambient lighting created a starry, ethereal atmosphere.
The couple made a show-stopping entrance flanked by a flash mob of cousins and friends. The night saw energetic performances from family and friends—each dance telling a story of love, friendship, and connection. Falak stunned everyone with her performance along with her bridesmaids, and Aksh followed with a high-octane act with his groomsmen.
Their duet dances with bridesmaids and groomsmen had the whole crowd on their feet. The emcee ensured the energy never dropped with interactive games that pulled everyone into the spotlight.

Wedding
The final day began with a serene breakfast followed by intimate pre-wedding rituals, where the couple took blessings from elders.

The baraat was a party of its own—complete with a DJ truck, emcee, dhols, and Aksh arriving in a convertible Rolls-Royce with CO2 guns and sparklers. Falak’s family greeted the groom’s side with garlands and sweets.
The wedding ceremony featured a pastel mandap accented with red florals, complementing Falak’s bridal lehenga. A photo booth with a flower-lined Polaroid frame and ocean backdrop offered guests the perfect photo-op.
Falak entered under a phoolon ki chaddar, escorted by her father and brothers. As the couple exchanged garlands and took their pheras surrounded by ringing bells and a shower of petals, it was full of love, meaning, and quiet magic.
Following the ceremony, a heartfelt Vidaai marked the end of a chapter and the beginning of a new one. A lavish wedding meal with global and regional delicacies had guests indulging in a culinary feast.

Reception
The celebrations concluded with a reception at Lapita. Fairy lights twinkled above, candles glowed on soft-toned tables, and the mood was equal parts sophisticated and sentimental.
Falak and Aksh made a graceful entry, followed by a romantic first dance and cake cutting. The emcee returned to host games that captured sweet and silly moments with the couple.
Emotional speeches from family and friends, sharing childhood stories and memories, had everyone tearing up. A same-day edit of the four-day celebration was played, capturing the most heartfelt moments and bringing both laughter and teary eyes to the room.
Guests also contributed to a photo guestbook — printing polaroids and writing heartfelt notes, leaving behind a treasure trove of memories for the couple. The evening ended with a high-energy DJ set by DJ Neutron and an after-party that kept the celebration alive well into the night.
