While Garima and Arjun’s journey began when they met in school, their love story only began a few years later when they met again. Reunited, they fell in love and before they knew it, it was time to start looking for a wedding designer who would make sure their big day looked absolutely fabulous.
The couple entrusted WeddingSutra Favorite – Plush Events with the responsibility of bringing to life their dream wedding. Here are glimpses from the celebration that are sure to leave you inspired.
How They Met
They’d studied in the same school but Garima and Arjun were acquaintances at best. After school, they moved to different countries but stayed in touch on social media. However, a chance meeting years later opened their eyes to a brand new possibility. Call it luck or call it destiny, the two fell in love.
Wedding Planning
Ruchika Arora Bansal from Plush Events, who designed the décor, unpacks the design language and the brief, “When we met our gorgeous bride, she had a very clear idea about the kind of décor she wanted. She wanted to create a rustic, artistic and modest vibe. So we began putting together a charming setup for both the functions; soft colors created the prettiest backdrops and lots of flowers added a sense of freshness. Their nuptials were indeed splendid.”

Cocktail Party
The festivities began with a cocktail party at Radisson Gurugram Udyog Vihar. The décor was all about magic and romance. Flowers in muted tones and fox grass added a bucolic elegance enhanced by wooden crates and ladders. Fairy lights brought their usual touch of whimsy and a customized photo booth with the couple’s initials had everyone’s wacky side out on display. The intimate affair was sophisticatedly sound tracked by a lone violinist and the evening had performances by the couple’s family and friends too.
Chooda Ceremony
Wedding
The couple tied the knot the following afternoon at The Palms Town & Country Club in Gurgaon. The Anand Karaj ceremony was conducted with family and close friends in attendance.
The event was a sophisticated brunch with a color palette of pastels, coral and white that complemented the couple’s attire. Large wooden arches festooned with blooms hooded the walkway that led guests from the entrance into a pastoral inspired wedding.
After the ceremony, jazz musicians Nikhil and Natasha had the guests tapping their feet as lunch was served. The couple had also gone the extra mile and had Plush Events print customized food menus for each table that took into account individual guests’ food allergies and dietary restrictions.
