A heady mix of glamour, bright hues and fun moments - this couple’s destination wedding in Jaipur was a spectacular celebration!
Set against the striking architecture and sweeping landscapes of Taj Devi Ratn Resort & Spa, Jaipur, Gayatri and Ayush’s wedding unfolded as a celebration that was equal parts warm and stylish. The three-day celebration felt intimate yet grand, thoughtfully spread across the venue’s many spaces that made every function feel like its own world.
How They Met
Gayatri shares, “Ayush and I met for the first time in Europe, where we ended up chilling on the streets of France and Spain, and spending long, easy days in Barcelona. Something clicked there. When I came back to India, we both knew we wanted to take it forward.” What began as an unexpected travel friendship soon blended effortlessly into their everyday lives—they worked together, shared close-knit circles, and felt instantly comfortable with each other’s families. “By the time the wedding came around, we were already behaving like a married couple in many ways. These three days were just a celebration of that, with the people who matter the most to us.”
Wedding Venue
For their destination wedding, the couple chose the sculptural and design-forward Taj Devi Ratn Resort & Spa. “We wanted a venue in Jaipur that wasn’t overdone, something unique, full of character,” Gayatri says. “The moment we visited Devi Ratn, we knew this was it. The curves, the domes, the views, the rooms, the villas for both families, everything felt thoughtfully designed.” With its immersive architecture and luxurious, resort-like vibe, the property allowed each event to unfold in a distinct setting. “Every corner felt luxurious. Even friends and family felt like they were on a special holiday. The fact that every function had its own venue made the wedding feel layered and memorable.”
Wedding Planning
Photography was one of the first decisions the couple made, and it set the tone for the entire celebration. Gayatri shares, “Both Ayush and I are very comfortable on video, but when it came to photos, we honestly weren’t sure how we would be. Israni Photography and Films changed that for us. They chose the right spots, guided us with poses, told us where to look, and always had someone right beside us to make us feel relaxed.” The couple booked Israni Photography and Films even before finalising other major elements. “It was the smoothest experience we could have asked for. This was one part of the wedding we never worried about.”
Wedding Functions
Welcome Dinner
The festivities began with a warm, laughter-filled welcome dinner that set the tone for the days ahead. Guests gathered in a cosy indoor space accented with earthy textures, woven seating, and soft ambient lighting.
Sangeet
The sangeet was a glamorous, high-energy celebration draped in deep wine-red fabrics, sparkling chandeliers, and dramatic lighting. The stage glowed in layers of crimson and gold as the couple lit up the night with their performances. The décor combined lush red florals with sculptural arrangements, creating a luxurious, banquet-style ambience perfect for dance, music, and heartfelt toasts.
Carnival
The carnival was bright, playful, and bursting with colour. The couple made a cheerful entrance surrounded by pastel streamers, printed outfits, and an aisle lined with pink blooms. Outdoor setups, fun activities, and an atmosphere charged with joy made it one of the most memorable afternoons.
Haldi
Set against a backdrop of soft drapes and an explosion of fresh florals in shades of pink, lavender, and yellow, the décor struck a beautiful balance between playful and elegant. The couple took centre stage on a golden urli surrounded by blooms, while friends and family showered them with petals and turmeric.
Wedding and Reception
The wedding night brought a return to grandeur. Ayush arrived in a spirited baraat that blended energy with traditional flair. Under the starry Jaipur sky, the mandap glowed like a palace dome, crafted with intricate jaali work, cascading mogra strings, and lush white florals. It was regal yet serene, setting the perfect stage for an emotional ceremony.
