Harshita and Saurav, Tarangi Jim Corbett Resort and Spa

An intimate wedding, where the couple infused their personalities into each function.

When college sweethearts Harshita and Saurav decided to tie the knot and exchange promises of forever, they wanted a celebration that truly represented who they were. Planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – DB & Spaces, each function at the celebration had its own interpretation that matched the couple’s personalities, with a pastel disco haldi, a Sufi sangeet and a wedding that complemented the natural surroundings of the venue in Jim Corbett.

Wedding Planning
Dakshita Bhatla Gangola of DB & Spaces says, “Saurav and Harshita are long-time companions turned lifelong partners. Their Haldi celebration was never meant to be a riot of colors typical of northern weddings. Instead, they wanted a contemporary experience. At the wedding ceremony too design gently stepped back and allowed emotion, landscape, and ritual to take centre stage. Set against the expansive mountain backdrop by the Kosi River, the ceremony was envisioned as an extension of its surroundings rather than an interruption to it.”

Haldi
The Pastel Disco Haldi saw blush pinks, mint greens, and gentle lilacs forming a serene backdrop, while disco balls during daylight brought unexpected sparkle and joy.
The function was crafted for guest experience. A walk-in caricaturist corner turned candid moments into keepsakes, even as a 90s Toffee Bar allowed for nostalgia to come alive with retro candies. A signature touch for the pastel disco theme was the glitter bar. A live engraving station meant that guests could take back glass souvenirs with a personalized engraving.
A spirited Haldi ritual between the bride and groom made every moment feel spontaneous yet beautifully curated.

Sangeet
The Ishq Sufiyana Sangeet was a candlelit affair. Guided by the artistry of Kabul Bukhari, the ambience was set for reflection, dance, and deep connection.
Thousands of candles lit the venue, candle-lit pathways and stages invited guests into an ethereal world where performances became prayers and dances became declarations of affection.

Wedding
The Peach Silhouette wedding unfolded as a quiet, poetic moment. Set against the expansive mountain backdrop by the Kosi River, the ceremony was envisioned as an extension of its surroundings. The colour story intentionally included peach in its softest expressions, layered seamlessly with ivory whites, to create a palette that felt warm yet weightless. Nothing dominated the space—no heavy florals, no dramatic structures.
From a design perspective, the idea was to create a silhouette rather than a statement—a mandap that framed the vows without demanding attention, décor that softened the space without overpowering it. As Saurav and Harshita took their pheras, soft live music drifted through the space, adding an emotional rhythm to the moment.
