Himangi Ticku and Raghav Sethi, ITC Grand Bharat, Gurugram
This couple’s fusion wedding exuded soft glam with its pink-white colour palette and floral prints.
Himangi Ticku, a lawyer and Raghav Sethi, a Digital Media Marketer’s union in Gurugram was steeped in elegance, warmth and joyful family moments. Meticulously curating every detail and ensuring the couple’s vision became a reality was WeddingSutra Favorite – Le Florence Weddings.
Wedding Planning
Charu Kalra from Le Florence Weddings shares, “Himangi and Raghav, both, are elegant, minimalistic, and rooted in their cultures. Weddings are an extension of the couple’s personalities, so as a planning team, we knew we had to get it just right. Himangi hails from Kashmir and Raghav from Punjab, consequently, the union was a harmonious blend of the traditions of these two cultures. Overall, it was a royal yet subtle celebration at the ITC Grand Bharat which was almost completely occupied for three days.”
Wedding Functions
Haldi and Mehndi
A heady mix of bright hues and fresh blooms, the haldi and mehndi was where everyone let their hair down and were at their playful best. Fresh orange, white, and yellow floral décor, nostalgic candy, and snacks put everyone in a cheerful mood. A picture-perfect flower shower with the bride seated in an urli ended the haldi celebration on a high note.
Devgun Pooja
The Devgun ceremony in Kashmiri weddings is a ceremonial cleansing and transition ritual hosted on the morning of the wedding day. It signifies the bride or the groom’s transition into married life. In Himangi’s instance, this serene ceremony was hosted on the Yamuna River on the ghats.
Sangeet Night
After the auspicious and serene Devgon ceremony, the couple amped up the glamour levels with a glitzy sangeet. Crystal chandeliers gave the venue’s entrance a soft warm glow and lights shaped like elegant flowers lit the way for the guests. Once inside, the vast LED screen-backed stage dominated the venue where everyone put their best foot forward!
Wedding
Hosted on a sunlit morning on the Vrindavan & Firdaus Lawn in the venue, the wedding was picture-perfect. Adorned with white and pink blooms and a chrome aisle, the wedding fused subtle glam with the couple’s respective cultural elements. Himangi looked stunning as a Kashmiri Pandit bride donning a targah on her head along with a flowing dupatta. Pink and ivory hues adorned the venue striking a beautiful contrast with the lush greenery around it.
Reception
The sunlit wedding was followed by a Reception where the newlyweds had a gala time with their loved ones. Latticework arches, red drapes, multiple crystal chandeliers and comfy divans tied back to the ‘Sufi Night’ theme of the reception. A heartfelt ‘first dance’ had the couple waltzing on the dancefloor and later the guests raised a champagne toast to the couple’s good health.
Farewell Brunch
The three-day celebrations came to an end with a relaxed farewell brunch. Engaging post-wedding traditional games were played by the couple which led to moments of unbridled joy.
