Ishita Dahuja and Rhythm Malhotra, The Zuri White Sands, Goa
Flanked by the dramatic sunset sky this couple’s destination wedding mandap was a serene one with a variety of pink and lavender hues.
Ishita Dahuja, a fashion entrepreneur who founded the label Spiink and fitness consultant Rhythm Malhotra’s wedding in Goa was a traditional yet easy breezy celebration where the couple revelled freely with their loved ones. Spearheading their wedding planning was WeddingSutra Favorite – Exotic Goa Events who with their expertise ensured there were no hiccups as the couple took the plunge.
Wedding Planning
Ishita shares, “Exotic Goa Events was so accommodating and understanding! Whatever we needed was promptly provided to us and at times, they showed tremendous foresight that is very much required during destination weddings. Everything was on point and if it weren’t for them, I’m sure chaos would have ensued.”
Weddings Functions
Welcome Dinner
The celebrations began with a Bollywood-themed welcome dinner where everyone mingled freely. Decorated with tropical foliage and LED signages, the party was a glamorous one as everyone celebrated with a drink in hand. Plus, a dance floor and Bollywood music ensured all the guests shook a leg!
Pool Party
Flaunting a tropical theme with purple and pink hues paired with tropical foliage, the pool party witnessed everyone letting their hair down as they enjoyed the sunny day to the fullest. Floating pink flamingos, artistic cane chairs, festooned teepees and larger-than-life board games added to the breezy ambience.
Sangeet
After the Bollywood-inspired welcome party, the sangeet took a more traditional route with floral garlands and plenty of lights. Hosted indoors, the decor consisted of a huge stage backed by LED screens. As the families put their best foot forward onstage, the couple cheered them on!
Haldi
Contrasting beautifully with the bright blue sky, the haldi decor consisted of cheery yellow canopies that flowed in the breeze with white furnishings. Accentuating these hues were pops of green that were strategically placed across the venue.
Wedding and Reception
Hosted by the beach, the circular mandap looked dreamy against the sunset sky. With suspended blooms and a rosy pink color palette, the mandap exuded a dash of glamour as Ishita walked down the chrome aisle. After the phere, the couple’s first moments as newlyweds were celebrated with fireworks. The wedding was followed by a reception where the couple and their loved ones danced the night away under the stars.
Advice For Couples
Ishita shares, “I’d strongly suggest starting early. Book your venue first and then your wedding planner. Don’t be hesitant to share your ideas when it comes to the themes as it’s your day after all! Also, do your shopping beforehand too as most designers take up to three months to give you the final outfit.”
