The wedding of Pune-based Law student Janhavi Vinod Shisode and Businessman Pratik Rajendra Mohite was a beautiful celebration of their culture, swathed in the vibrance of their personalities. WeddingSutra Favorite – Jim Dandy Events planned their destination wedding in Karjat to vivid perfection, glimpses of which take you on a colorful journey.
Wedding Planning
The couple chose the picturesque venues of Radisson Blu Resort and Spa, Karjat for their festivities, and entrusted the team of Jim Dandy Events to orchestrate their wedding. Wedding Functions
Haldi
After a colorful welcome, the festivities kicked off with a Haldi ceremony that combined the beauty of customs with quirky modern energy. Brass candelabras, pots, and adornments mixed with intricate drapes and arrangements of marigolds in yellow, white and orange set a traditional tone, while brightly colorful hanging, tassels, flowers, patterned glass bottles, and more added a bohemian edge. Dressed in traditional Maharashtrian attire, the bride and groom arrived with great pomp amidst dhol beats and smoke bombs, and the rituals were filled with a whole lot of fun and laughter.
Sangeet
Eclectic and extravagant, the Sangeet function saw an explosion of colors and sparkle, setting the stage for a night of rousing entertainment. Bright blooms, plush velvet seating, fairy lights, gilded cages, crystals, and more infused the occasion with Vegas-like quirky decadence. The bride flaunted a shimmering wine-hued couture gown while the groom sported a classic black tuxedo as they walked in amidst fireworks, after which musical and dance performances kept the guests entertained all night.
Wedding
Hosted indoors, the wedding ceremony was a floral wonderland imagined with the striking decor of pastel flowers. A whimsical tunnel of blooms welcomed the guests into the hall, on entering which they were greeted with a view of the mesmerizing flower-laden mandap. Minimal brass elements added a traditional touch to the setup. The bride was resplendent in a red Paithani saree as per custom, while the groom wore a white sherwani for the occasion.
Reception
For a fitting finale to the celebrations, the Reception decor was nothing short of spectacular. Brimming with magical mood lighting, a floral tunnel opened into the outdoor festivities that saw a mix of tropical flowers and foliage, white cages and cabanas for interesting seating corners, chandeliers, fairy lights, and much more. The stunning stage setup stole the show where the newlywed couple greeted the guests and captured memorable moments with their loved ones.
