Hyderabad-based Interior Designer and granddaughter of legendary playback singer and Padma Bhushan Awardee P Susheela Garu, Jayashree Balajapalli tied the knot with Maharashtra IPS officer Karthik Madhira in a vibrant celebration of love and traditions. Wedding Venue
With 8 events over the course of 6 amazing, fun-filled, unforgettable days, the couple hosted their wedding celebrations across a range of different venues across Hyderabad. Kicking off the festivities with a grand Engagement soiree at the iconic Taj Krishna, they went on to hold other events at Boulder Hills Golf and Country Club and Anvaya Conventions, while the smaller pre-wedding functions were held at their respective homes.
Wedding Planning
The couple entrusted the planning and execution of the entire celebration to the team of RVR Eventz, while every moment was captured by their sister brand RVRPRO. The bride shares, “Like any couple we wanted to have our ultimate dream wedding and RVR Events went above and beyond to make it happen. Our events celebrated our Telugu heritage and customs with a touch of modernity. Also, with my birthday being the very next day after the wedding, the celebration was the best gift I could have asked for”.
Wedding Functions
Engagement
Hosted at the timeless Taj Krishna, the engagement decor set a vibe of “Nizam grandeur meets modern glamor”. Lush foliage, crystal chandelier, ornate bird hangings, and more added to the plush stage set up of elegant lavender hues. The couple exchanged rings to great applause, and the evening was filled with toasts, speeches, and warm family moments.
Haldi
Imagined with vibrant yellow, white, and blue decor, the Moroccan-themed affair transformed the poolside of the bride’s residence for a lively haldi function. The bride and groom matched the prints and colors of the decor as they had a fun-filled morning of pool shenanigans, haldi rituals, and a colorful holi with their loved ones.
Mehndi
The decor and energy carried on to the sundowner mehndi. Breezy drapes, prints, exotic blooms, foliage, and patio furniture set a lively yet laid-back tone. The bride and groom once again matched the decor in tropical-inspired traditional ensembles.
Lagna Patrika
The formal engagement ceremony of Lagna Patrika was an intimate home-held function with just close family. Traditional floral arrangements, brass pots and ornaments, diyas, and more added a sense of serenity to the occasion, as the couple exchanged rings amidst their loved ones.
Pellikoduku and Pellikuthuru
The ceremonies of Pellikoduku and Pellikuthuru saw a mix of tranquil traditions and warm family moments, celebrated against the backdrop of their homes. Minimalistic yet beautiful, the decor’s local blooms, foliage, and ornate brass elements softly accentuated the space in a delicate palette of white, lavender, and green.
Sangeet
Imagined as a music festival at the renowned Boulder Hills Golf and Country Club, the rousing outdoor Sangeet was replete with edgy neon decor, light installations, tunnels, and more, not to mention the grand stage setup. Dressed in shimmering silver and black couture, the couple entered through a tunnel of their loved ones as they released red heart balloons, before embarking upon a night of spectacular musical and dance performances.
Wedding
Inspired by the grand architecture of the temples of South India, the wedding was a spectacular affair that awed every guest in attendance. With rich backdrop hues of red and pink, the stunning temple-style mandap was decked with blooms, the artwork of deities, brass ornaments, and more for the ceremony. The groom wowed with his arrival escorted by professional artists carrying candelabras, while the bride took it to the next level with her arrival on a floral open palanquin carried by her loved ones. The ceremony was replete with beautiful traditions and rich colors as they vowed to be husband and wife.
