Jhanvi and Aniket, Trident, Nariman Point

Spanish to Mughal, this Mumbai wedding celebrated architectural styles with a touch of green in every function.

When Jhanvi, a graphic designer, and Aniket, who works in the diamond business, planned their wedding, the task delegation was clear: Aniket would focus on the bar and bartenders, and Jhanvi would helm the décor and planning. Planned and executed with thoughtfulness by WeddingSutra Favorite – The Vow Weavers, the celebration featured elements from Spanish, Mughal, and Art Deco architecture. Capturing the magic of each moment was WeddingSutra Favorite – Jodi Clickers.

How They Met
Jhanvi and Aniket met through their best friend and his cousin—the perfect setup that led to a love story stretching between Bombay and Belgium. What began as a long-distance relationship quickly became a beautiful balance of opposites. While Aniket is impulsive, funny, and always the life of the room, Jhanvi is calm, thoughtful, and someone who always looks before she leaps. Despite being complete foils to each other, somewhere between endless FaceTime calls, long messages and countless trips across continents, they found a rhythm that felt effortless.

Wedding Planning
Neelam Madnani and Nitisha Malhotra of The Vow Weavers say, “More than just a celebration, it became a beautiful reflection of who Jhanvi and Aniket are together—two very different people creating something that felt entirely their own. Jhanvi wanted pistachio green and pink as the décor colors for the celebration. And lotus as the floral element, which is also her grandmother’s favorite flower.”

Wedding Functions
Mehendi
The celebration, which had 4 functions, started with an intimate mehendi. With a summer in Europe theme, the mehendi brought to life the al fresco style of dining in Europe. It was like walking in the streets of Spain.

Sangeet
The sangeet was all about emerald and bright lights—each function sported green in different ways. Here, the inspiration was Art Deco, with mirror work with an emerald green background. A candlelit wall and white roses as table décor added to the elegance of the day. Performances by friends and family kept the evening peppy.

Wedding
The wedding celebrations were set against the sea with the Bombay skyline in the backdrop. Mughal-inspired décor with soft pastels, silver and mirror work gave the day a royal aesthetic.
