While Karisha and Paresh’s love story began in London, the start of their happily-ever-after took place in Goa when they tied the knot at the ITC Grand Goa Resort and Spa. The wedding setup looked straight out of a fairytale with each element playing an important role in adhering to the couple’s opulent yet fun vision. WeddingSutra Favorite – Romesh Dhamija Productions captured and documented all their special moments.

How They Met
Paresh and Karisha met at a common friend’s party while they were in London. What began with a casual conversation eventually led them to discover that they were soulmates.

The Proposal
The lovebirds went on a trip together during their courtship. It was right before the vacation that Paresh made up his mind to propose. He took the ring along with him, which he kept in his pocket through the whole trip! It was only on their way back home that he finally mustered up the courage to ask Karisha for her hand in marriage. She accepted by simple saying, “Sure, why not?”.

The couple chose ITC Grand Goa Resort and Spa, to host all their wedding festivities.

Wedding Functions

Welcome/Holi Party
The wedding festivities kicked off with a holi-themed welcome party. The couple was looking to do something different and steered clear of the usual cocktail party theme. Instead, wedding guests enjoyed a colorful welcome with dry, organic holi colors, while the DJ played peppy tunes as the sun went down. The laid-back vibe and eclectic decor provided the perfect backdrop for some stunning pictures of the couple and their guests.

Haldi
The next morning’s event was the couple’s joint haldi ceremony. They sat side by side as they got doused in turmeric. Paresh wore a white kurta-pajama while Karisha opted for a traditional yellow saree with floral jewellery to enhance her look.

Mehndi and Sangeet
The haldi ceremony made way for a fun and entertaining mehndi and sangeet night. The groom’s bright purple Nehru jacket beautifully offset the deep green hues of the bride’s outfit. The decor consisted of a white archway with elegant lanterns lending their gentle light to the venue. Cute cabanas were set up for mehndi and a vibrant stage was erected for the sangeet. It was a night full of love, laughter and warmth as everyone took to the dancefloor in celebration. Paresh surprised Karisha by going down on one knee once again, gently placing the engagement ring onto her finger.

Wedding
For the pheras, Karisha chose an exquisite pastel Sabyasachi lehenga with hints of emerald green in the embroidery. Paresh donned an ivory sherwani by Sabyasachi, teamed with a peach safa (turban). The beach wedding was a treat to behold. The venue was decked out in shades of gold and pastel pink, right from the entryway to the Chiavari chairs. The bride made a grand entry, walking on a bed of flowers as her brothers held the floral chaadar (blanket) over her head. On the other end stood her soulmate, surrounded by the golden drapes hanging from the pastel pink mandap. The couple were beaming with joy as they officially began their happily-ever-after.

Reception
The serene beach wedding was followed by an entertaining and high-spirited reception later that evening. The decor was kept elegant and classy. Acrobats skillfully entertained the guests with amazing performances. Soon after, the bride and groom took center stage, slow dancing as their loved ones cheered them on. The party’s tempo then picked-up as Paresh and Karisha invited their guests onto the dance floor to celebrate their union.
