Khyati and Abhishek, Caravela Beach Resort, Goa
This couple’s wedding mandap by the sea was a floral dream come true with its purple, pink and lavender hues!
Khyati and Abhishek’s wedding was a seamless celebration of love, art, and design, beautifully curated by WeddingSutra Favorite – Crafting Memories. The couple, who met in London during their time at design school, not only fell in love with each other but also with the world of design.

Wedding Planning
The design brief for Khyati and Abhishek was clear—minimalistic yet impactful, with an emphasis on bold floral choices and vivid pops of color. Mark Rodrigues from Crafting Memories recalls how the couple’s creative vision influenced every aspect of the decor. “They were looking for a balance that was both modern and personal,” says Mark. From the perfect color palette that complemented Khyati’s wedding lehenga to finding furniture pieces that embodied the couple’s love for design, every request was thoughtfully addressed. Crafting Memories’ approach was to blend the couple’s preferences with the family’s expectations, creating a harmonious vision where every element, from floral arrangements to custom furniture, felt meticulously planned.

Wedding Functions
Sangeet and Mehndi
For the Sangeet and Mehndi, the couple drew inspiration from the iconic blue pottery of Rajasthan. The venue was transformed into a lively celebration of color, with intricate white and blue vases and tablecloths adorned with splashes of bright roses. The vibrancy of the decor was mirrored in the energetic dance performances that brought the space to life. “We wanted something with a cultural touch but also something that felt fresh and contemporary,” shares Khyati.

Haldi
For the Haldi ceremony, the atmosphere was earthy and warm, inspired by rustic elements and vibrant marigold blooms in shades of yellow and orange. Rattan furnishings and earthen pots enhanced the organic vibe, and the live Gola counters were a fun, unexpected twist. The earthy hues and natural textures tied in perfectly with the casual, joyful nature of the event.

Wedding
The wedding itself was an enchanting affair, set on a lawn by the beach. The mandap was a whimsical blend of purple, pink, and lavender floral arrangements, while matching floral arches created a serene and romantic setting. Gilded chairs were strategically placed for the guests, and miniature bells were provided for them to ring during the pheras, adding a playful touch to the sacred ritual. Mark reflects on the design, saying, “The idea was to bring a sense of magic and tranquillity to the ceremony, allowing the couple and their guests to fully immerse themselves in the moment.”

After Party
The celebration continued with an electrifying after-party, hosted outdoors beneath the stars. Funky LED lights set the scene, while the dance floor was packed with guests, their hearts pounding to high-energy beats. The contrast of the earlier, more traditional events was refreshing, providing the perfect end to a wedding that balanced tradition, elegance, and the couple’s modern aesthetic. Mark adds, “The after-party was the perfect way to let the couple and their guests unwind and enjoy the evening with fun and freedom.”
