Nakul and Kriti's elegant two-day wedding lit up the lush and regal environs of the Heritage Resort in Manesar, Haryana
Kriti planned her destination wedding to Nakul to perfection. Their memorable celebrations in a charming resort included colorful functions, standout bridal fashion and elegant decor. Here, bride Kriti shares highlights of her special day.
How We Met
“Nakul and I have known each other since we were in Grade 10, and have been friends ever since. We only started dating while doing our graduation, although Nakul told me that he liked me since school and was waiting for the right time to propose. Our journey together began when we realized that there was more to our friendship. And the rest, as they say, is history!”
Wedding Venue
“Our two-day wedding celebrations were held at the Heritage Resort in Manesar, Haryana. We wanted our destination wedding to have a holiday vibe without involving too much stress for anyone. We were aware of the quaint surroundings of the resort, and loved its beautiful Rajasthani feel thanks to its regal architecture and lush green lawns. All our functions were held on different lawns.”
Wedding Functions
The wedding planner was none other than the bride herself, who shares, “I wanted everything to be perfectly planned, so I had my finger in every pie as far as the wedding preparations were concerned. From the decor to the colour themes, catering menu and the ‘jai malas’ (garland ceremony) – everything was carefully executed and planned.”
Mehndi
“The mehndi decor involved a peppy theme with colorful paper flowers, a cute photo booth, quirky props, and activity areas around the vast lawns of the hotel. We completely transformed the decor and added a dash of quirkiness to our mehndi function with colorful floral decorations.”
The bride wore a gorgeous blue and pink floral lehenga by Neha and Kriti, and Nakul wore a matching blue kurta and jacket which he paired with white pants. The ceremony was vibrant with lots of music, dancing and family revelry as Kriti got intricate and beautiful mehndi designs on her hands and feet.
Engagement
“We decided on a crimson-wine colored theme for the engagement. I picked a beautiful wine colored lehenga with gold-thread motifs by Neha and Kriti, and paired it with bespoke diamond jewellery. Nakul wore a matching wine colored tuxedo with a white shirt and a bow tie. We celebrated the event with cake cutting and then let our hair down to the latest Bollywood hits. It was an intimate, close-family-only event.”
Wedding
“The wedding ceremony was a perfect blend of traditional rituals and modern ambiance. For this ceremony, we wanted to stick to our favourite colours, so I wore a coral pink lehenga by Dolly J, and Nakul donned a blue Qbik sherwani. The garlands of blooms and exquisite floral decor added a dreamy vibe to the event.”
