From a Rajasthani carnival to a regal sangeet, Kushboo and Salman's wedding in Jaipur delighted everyone.
Kushboo and Salman’s traditional nikah ceremony took place in Jaipur, the buzzing capital of Rajasthan. The celebrations planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – IWP – Indian Wedding Planners featured lots of traditional touches, from the decor to the entertainment. Check out some of the highlights here.
Wedding Planning
The IWP – Indian Wedding Planners team ensured that every ceremony and party of the wedding was customized as per Kushboo and Salman’s preferences. Partners Anant Khandelwal and Kartika Sharma left no stone unturned to put together a dream wedding for the couple.
Wedding Venue
Kushboo and Salman were looking for a contemporary and picturesque venue for their wedding when they came across the JW Marriott Jaipur Resort and Spa. The sprawling resort with its charming venues won their hearts immediately, and they booked the property for their big day.
Wedding Functions
Mehndi
One of the most important rituals of the nikah, Kushboo’s mehendi ceremony was a traditional affair accompanied by a lavish high tea. It was held inside a grand ballroom at the resort which was decorated in bright colors. From a gigantic floral wreath to vintage trunks and royal upholstery, the decor for the ceremony was creatively crafted keeping the bride and groom’s preferences in mind.
Rajasthani Carnival
A traditional Rajasthani carnival was hosted to entertain the guests attending the wedding. This function had typical Marwari decor, complete with colorful drapes, traditional fabric umbrellas, marigold flower garlands and handicrafts. Folk dancers entertained everyone with their ethnic dance and musical performances.
Nikah
The wedding ceremony was a conventional Islamic nikah ritual. Kushboo made an entry under a floral canopy created with white jasmine blooms which was held above her by her brothers. The ballroom was decorated with minimal yet classy decor, and featured a combination of red and white flowers, regal candle stands and fairy lights that lit the pathway to the venue. The stage was spectacularly decorated with white drapes which were embellished with lush foliage and pastel blooms.
Shukrana and Sangeet
The wedding was celebrated with a boisterous shukrana and sangeet party where friends and family of the couple had a great time dancing and enjoying with each other. The IWP – Indian Wedding Planners team ensured that the decor for this event was very glamorous; and they did this by using lots of exotic flowers, traditional motifs and glitzy lights. Palatial sofas and chairs were spread across the venue so guests could rest their feet after grooving to the DJ’s hit tunes.
