From dazzling disco balls to glowing South Indian brass lamps, this couple's nuptials fused East & West decor elements beautifully.
For Madhuri and Rivighya love came into their lives in the most unexpected manner. Being successful professionals in their respective fields, they both were living life to the fullest when a family friend decided to introduce them. Held at Taj West End, Bengaluru, their delightful wedding was packed with beautiful moments that were captured by WeddingSutra Favorite – Sam & Ekta. How They Met
Madhuri and Ritvighya had everything going well for them. They were living life to the fullest and not actively searching for love. However, after some coaxing by their families, they agreed to start sussing out matrimonial prospects and setting up online profiles on matchmaking websites. However, thanks to a common family friend’s epiphany, both of them were set up for a date at Ritvighya’s favorite Asian restaurant in Mumbai. And, what was supposed to be a traditional meeting quickly transitioned into a three-hour-long date. This was then followed by multiple dates and meaningful conversations, and the deal was finally sealed by the easy approval of their parents.
Wedding Venue
With its green and sprawling spaces, the Taj West End was the perfect choice for both families. Located in Bengaluru, the iconic property’s convenient location, contemporary amenities, and natural beauty won them over.
Wedding Planning
With a well-organized team from wedding planner Shaadi Squad, Madhuri and Ritvighya’s wedding went ahead without a hiccup. The newlyweds share, “This was the second time we worked with Shaadi Squad as they had organized Rivighya’s sister’s wedding in December 2018 and they felt like family. Saurabh and Tina are very hands-on, accommodating and patient. The promptness and warmth of their excellent team put us at instant ease.”
On the decor front, experts like Amaahyaaj, With Love Nilma, and Info Wedlockers, made sure the duo’s dreams were transformed into reality.
The wedding invitations by WeddingSutra Favorite – Pink Whistle Man featured delicate floral designs that reflected the themes chosen across ceremonies. Another WeddingSutra Favorite – DJ AJ made the gathering rock with his cool dance numbers.

Weddings Functions
Tilak and Sangeet
Fusing modern and traditional themes, the joint tilak and sangeet ceremony saw Madhuri and Ritvighya rocking the dance floor. Seated against an orange backdrop printed with golden ethnic motifs, she couldn’t stop smiling as he slipped a ring on her finger while their loved ones cheered them on. For this function, Madhuri kept it light in a pastel peach lehenga with floral embroidery that she paired with a necklace studded with emeralds. Ritvighya contrasted her look in a black bandhgala with intricate embroidery on the sleeves which he paired with a breastpin and a bandhani pocket square.
Mehndi
Swathed in shades of lavender, the mehndi had distinct feminine charm which was punctuated by purple, pink and baby blue blooms. The sprawling lawns of the venue were peppered with delicate chairs under a canopy of lilac drapes where guests could enjoy quirky cocktails. Madhuri glowed in a hot pink embroidered lehenga and lime green dupatta set which she accessorized with an intricate gold necklace and earrings. The groom, however, opted for a lilac chikankari bandhgala with a gold breastpin for this occasion.
Cocktail
With a backdrop of lush palm leaves and surrounded by vibrant floral decor, the cocktail party followed a ‘Disco Garden’ theme that set the perfect party mood. As the disco balls reflected every light in the room, one couldn’t help but get into a groovy mood. Keeping things ultra-glam for the occasion, Madhuri donned an elegant gown, while Ritvighya sported a silver and black suit.
Haldi
Staying true to tradition, the haldi ceremony was a mix of traditional colors such as red, yellow, orange and pink. Adorned with floral jewellery Madhuri looked radiant in a bright red outfit as she was smeared with turmeric. The groom, on the other hand, kept things comfortable in a white kurta and a Kolhapuri cap.
Wedding
For the big day, the duo chose to go ahead with a ‘Modern Flowers’ decor theme with a touch of South Indian nuances. As the newlyweds posed on a stage decked with white and pink flowers, both of them were a picture of happiness. Adding a soft glow to the occasion were ornate brass diyas that were carefully lit all over the venue.
Dressed in traditional red, Madhuri’s lehenga was a showstopper with its intricate golden embroidery. Ritvighya kept it elegant in a silver and white sherwani, which he accessorized with a string of emeralds.
