After a decade of friendship and knowing each other, Maitri and Aneesh took the plunge by the shores of Goa at Taj Cidade de Goa Horizon in a stunning wedding planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Purple Tree Event Solutions. How They Met
Maitri and Aneesh have known each other for over a decade, thanks to Aneesh and Maitri’s sister, Vaishnavi, being part of the same close-knit friend group. They shared an unspoken connection for years—a quiet understanding that never needed words. Then, in a twist of fate, the stars finally aligned, and they both found themselves unattached. What started as one meaningful conversation quickly turned into another, and soon enough, those conversations began to feel like home.

The Proposal
Maitri has always loved candles, so it was no surprise that this was the one element she wanted as part of the proposal. Aneesh, true to his thoughtful nature, went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. He chose Goa as the location—a stunning venue that perfectly set the stage for their fairytale moment. With countless random hints leading up to the day, Maitri was almost certain it was a proposal trip. Yet, nothing could have prepared her for the breathtaking sight that awaited her. The decor was mesmerizing—a magical setup straight out of a dream, with over 350 candles illuminating the space in the most enchanting way.

Wedding Planning
Planned by Purple Tree Event Solutions, the wedding was everything the couple had dreamed of. Exuding equal parts of elegance, glamour, fun and warmth – everyone was thoroughly engaged during the wedding festivities regardless of their age group.

Photographing the couple as they took the plunge was KnotsbyAMP, who impressed the duo with their photography skills. Maitri and Aneesh share, “ Working with the photography team was an absolute blast! From the get-go, they were super easy to vibe with, and it felt like we were hanging out with old friends rather than just a team behind the lens. They managed to capture all the special moments—big and small—most beautifully. The team made us feel so comfortable and natural, and even when we were in the middle of a chaotic moment, they were right there, capturing the joy and the laughter. Their creativity was off the charts, and they didn’t just take pictures—they told our story. They were super attentive to every detail, from getting the perfect angle to making sure no moment was missed, all while keeping the vibe light and fun. We even got a few behind-the-scenes shots of the candid moments that are now some of our favorite memories. One of the highlights was when they took us to the beach for some stunning shots. We couldn’t have asked for a better team to document our day!”

Wedding Functions
Welcome Lunch, Mehendi and High Tea
At the lobby, where guests were welcomed, the decor exuded elegance, setting the tone for the celebrations to follow. To ensure a fun and memorable experience, a creative tuck shop was set up where guests could curate their own hampers. Filled with delightful options like coffee crisps, an assortment of chana, Pringles, cookies, khakra crisps, Magic Pops, Polo, Tic Tacs, and even thoughtful additions like a hangover kit and a women’s kit, the concept was a huge hit. Guests had an absolute blast putting together their personalized in-room hampers.

For the Mehendi, the couple opted for a dreamy palette of pastel shades—peach, lavender, and mint blue—that lent a soft, charming vibe to the event. The setup included comfortable diwans for the Mehendi artists, a tarot card reader for a touch of mystique, and fun stalls like a gola station and a giveaway corner. Guests were treated to embroidered clutches, pouches, bangles, and bindis as keepsakes. To top it all off, a phenomenal DJ ensured the evening was filled with the best beats, transforming the Mehendi into an unforgettable celebration of fun, excitement, and vibrant energy.

Sangeet
Being ardent lovers of Sufi music, the couple infused their Sangeet with soulful vibes by bringing in a live Sufi band from Kolkata. For the decor, the couple made a bold and dramatic choice, opting for rich shades of black, red, and green, accentuated by the warm glow of countless candles. The setup perfectly complemented the music, adding depth and elegance to an evening filled with rhythm, love, and celebration.

Haldi
The Haldi ceremony was a vibrant and joyful affair, brimming with laughter and unforgettable moments. The decor was a vision of elegance, with a palette of yellow and white that perfectly complemented the cheerful vibe of the event. It was an aesthetic celebration filled with happiness, laughter, and the warmth of loved ones coming together to bless the couple.

Carnival Brunch
While most brides and couples wait for 70% of their crowd to arrive before making their grand entry, bride Maitri decided to flip the script! Ready before everyone else, she took charge of the event, radiating magnetic energy and kickstarting the festivities herself. With her infectious enthusiasm and fun vibes, she made sure every guest felt welcomed from the moment they walked in. The brunch was a vibrant celebration with an array of exciting activities and treats. Casino tables stole the show, where guests could cash in their winnings for redeemable gifts—a playful twist that kept everyone entertained. Adding to the charm were popcorn stalls, sizzling barbecue counters, sugarcane juice stalls (with an optional twist of wine for the adventurous!), and a variety of other games that brought out everyone’s competitive spirit.

For those looking to relax, there were cosy corners to lounge and sip on cocktails while soaking in the lively atmosphere. Guests mingled, laughed, and enjoyed every moment of this unique brunch, which perfectly captured the couple’s fun-loving and quirky personalities.

Wedding
The sunset wedding was nothing short of perfect, filled with an undeniable sense of happiness, positivity, and warmth. Guests were captivated as they witnessed the bride’s radiant entry, while the wedding chanters brought serene and soulful energy to the ceremony. The decor was a breathtaking blend of whites, baby pink, and blush pink, creating a romantic and elegant ambience. The mandap, modern yet deeply rooted in tradition, set the perfect stage for their vows.

Advice for Couples
Learning from their own experiences that couple had a few pointers to share with to-be-weds who are gearing up to tie the knot:
