Manasvi Sharma and Anirudh Choudhary, Jaipur Marriott Hotel
Rajsthani blue pottery perfectly harmonised with yellow marigold installations at this couple’s breezy poolside mehndi.
Embracing Rajasthani art forms while expressing their love for new-age elements, Manasvi Sharma and Anirudh Choudhary’s destination wedding flaunted the perfect combo of fun and glamour. Capturing the couple as they celebrated their love was WeddingSutra Favorite – Weddings by Reflections.
How They Met
Anirudh, based in California and Manasvi, based in Sydney, first crossed paths on a dating app. However, the differing time zones had their conversation come to a standstill. Later, in 2022, the couple reconnected and never looked back!
The Proposal
As the couple kept shuttling between continents, Anirudh decided to pop the question to Manasvi. He concocted a surprise proposal plan, which included the San Francisco city hall and a secret beach in Carmel where he turned the proposal into a most romantic photoshoot with a surprise picnic plot twist.
Wedding Planning
Capturing the couple while they plunged into marital bliss was Weddings by Reflections. The couple shares, “We had the pleasure of working with Weddings by Reflections for our wedding in January and they were nothing short of amazing. From the get-go, they made us feel completely at ease. The team has an incredible eye for capturing candid moments while staying in sync with our vision. They also have a knack for creating videos that feel like you’re reliving the day all over again. They worked together seamlessly, capturing every laugh, tear, and dance move in the most beautiful way. We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding cinematographer to document our special day. If you’re looking for a photography and videography team that listens, delivers, and makes your wedding memories as magical as the day itself, look no further!”
Wedding Functions
Sufi Night
The Sufi Night celebration also doubled up as a welcome party which exuded regal vibes. Vintage candelabras and a melange of red and white blooms adorned the evening. Complex latticework furnishing added to the charm of the evening as the guests enjoyed mesmerizing Sufi music.
Mehndi
Inspired by the aesthetic of an ‘Indian Mela’, the mehndi event brimmed with vivid hues. The guests kept cool under a canopy depicting colorful mandalas, while the couple got their hands patterned with henna against a backdrop of ethnic illustrations. Mirrorwork parasols, cane furnishings and marigold blooms completed the look.
Sangeet
For the sangeet, the couple went glam with LED lights, a vast monochrome stage and white blooms. Hosted indoors, the wedding party had a gala time as they grooved to their favorite tunes and cheered for the couple as they performed a romantic number.
Haldi
Echoing the beauty of Rajasthan’s iconic blue pottery designs, the couple’s haldi by the pool was an intimate event where everyone was at their playful best. Gold urlis served as seats for the duo while a marigold-laden backdrop made a striking contrast against the intricate blue floral designs.
Wedding
Red and white hues stood out prominently at the couple’s grand traditional wedding. A magical varmala with cold pyros, suspended blooms, and a red aisle lined with vases brimming with florals and crystal chandeliers made this union a plush one.
Advice For Couples
Reflecting on their own experience as an NRI couple tying the knot in India, the couple shared a few pointers that would help to-be-weds make the right decisions as they plan a wedding:
1. Carefully select venues and vendors. Ensure they align with your vision and negotiate contracts to fit your budget.
2. Include a buffer for unexpected costs and adjust plans as needed to stay within budget.
3. Send ‘Save the Dates’ early to give your guests ample time to prepare and block the dates.
4. Choose a theme and color palette that reflects your personality.
