Mythili and Alex, Hyderabad
This couple’s inter-religious farmhouse wedding had an understated elegance.
Mythili and Alex, an inter-religious couple, ditched their individual wedding customs and had an intimate registered marriage ceremony as a mark to imbibe their new traditions henceforth. Their fairytale wedding held at their farmhouse with just their close friends and family in attendance had their cousins doing the decor that added a personal touch to the wedding. Scroll down to read what the bride had to say.
How We Met
“Alex and I met during our university days in Warwick, back in 2011. It’s funny when you meet someone, and you somehow get a feeling that ‘This is it’. Since the day we started talking, we instantly felt a deep connection. Much like in the movies, it took us just three days to figure that we had fallen for each other. Through the years, like any normal couple, we’ve had our ups and downs, but we’ve overcome them all with the love and support of each other.
The Proposal
“Alex proposed to me in Madinat Jumeirah in the presence of our closest friends. It was perfect, unexpected, and totally worth the wait. He’s my best friend, and I love the way he loves me.”
Wedding Venue
“Coming from different religions we had decided that from the day we’d get married, we’d want to start our own common tradition, which is why we had one registration ceremony with 100 of our closest family and friends at my farmhouse – Simple, understated and elegant. Those were the only three elements I wanted in my wedding and the team at Eat Drink and Party delivered it to perfection.”
The Wedding
“We wanted to ensure that every detail was taken care of perfectly well. Fortunately, every vendor we’d hired delivered their best services as can be seen in our stunning photos. We had two, very simple and intimate events. We had the marriage registration at the farmhouse during the daytime, and an afterparty at my house which went on till about 9 am the next morning. To mark the new beginning of this exciting phase in our life, we went around the farmhouse and we potted plants in selected locations. Alex and I wore Anushree Reddy and Sabyasachi for the wedding ceremony respectively.”
Advice for Couples
“Marriage is about finding that one person who you can do everything with. So, it’s important to make sure, that the partner you have chosen, is your kind of fun, and someone you look forward to coming home to. Let these exhilarating emotions of finding ‘The One’ reflect on your face, and trust me, that’s all you need to make your big day special”.
