Naishi and Devansh, Mumbai
With stunning decor, jaw-dropping outfits, dance, and drama, this wedding was a sight to behold.
Naishi and Devansh were classmates who hung out in the same friend group as teenagers. However, destiny saw them cross paths as adults and Cupid found its mark! With a grand sangeet celebrated at the palatial ITC Maratha with spectacular indoor and outdoor venues, check out their wedding celebrations, whose moments were captured by WeddingSutra Favorite – Seventy By Two.
How They Met
Devansh recalls, “Naishi and I were in the same school, and Naishi was my teenage crush. After mustering up all the courage, I managed to ask her out and made my way into the friend zone. We managed to stay friends in college and hung out in the same group. Our respective relationship paths led us to a mutual road of breakups with our respective partners at that time, after which we reconnected, restructured our friendship, and eventually became partners for life.”
Wedding Planning
Naishi shares, “Planning our wedding was a fantastic and fun experience. We picked Seventy By Two to cover all our wedding festivities. From the ‘Save the Date’ videos to the wedding execution, working with their friendly team was a great experience. They recreated our love story with charming candid shots and videos”.
Wedding Functions
White Wedding
The wedding celebrations kicked off with a surreal White Wedding followed by a crazy Cocktail where Naishi and Devansh spent the evening with their guests, dancing, and drinking after exchanging their wedding vows. Naishi looked stunning in a white Malacha by Mrunal gown, and Devansh looked hip in a brown Amrita Bharghav 3 piece suit.
Ring Ceremony/Sangeet
The sangeet was a glitzy affair with contemporary black and gold accents. After the fun dance-off between families of the bride and groom, the couple exchanged engagement rings. Naishi looked regal in a shimmery mauve lehenga by Priti Valia and Deepika Shroff, and the Devansh picked a black and gold sherwani by Amrita Bharghav.
Mehndi
The garba-themed mehndi function was a vibrant affair with decor elements that included fresh marigold blooms, colorful ribbons, streamers, umbrellas, and rangoli stencils. However, the highlight of the event was the synchronized garba performances by the guests. The bride looked fabulous in a mustard yellow and green lehenga by Priti Valia and Deepika Shroff, and the groom opted for an off-white kurta and jacket set by Amrita Bharghav.
Wedding
The decor of the wedding exuded romance and elegance with red roses, drapes, exotic flowers and lots of candles. The couple opted to coordinate the color of their ensembles. Naishi picked a champagne-colored lehenga by Priti Valia and Deepika Shroff, and the groom complemented her in his Amrita Bharghav sherwani.
Reception
The grand finale to the wedding was a royal glamorous reception. Naishi dazzled in her wedding lehenga styled differently to resemble a gown, while Devansh looked dashing in a navy blue Amrita Bharghav tuxedo.
