Namrata and Pavneet, The Ananta Udaipur
From a dreamy sunlit wedding to a jungle disco-themed reception, this couple’s fusion destination wedding in Udaipur gave the glamor stakes a leg up!
Pavneet and Namrata’s Sindhi and Punjabi fusion wedding was a perfect example of how the merging of two rich cultures can create a beautiful union! Packed with color, laughter and dynamic moments, this fusion wedding was captured flawlessly by WeddingSutra Favorite – Jayesh Photography.
How They Met
Namrata recollects, “Both of us met in Mumbai where he was studying engineering and I was pursuing fashion design. At first, we started off as friends and then gradually fell in love. Further into our relationship, Pavneet moved to Australia for further education while I stayed in Mumbai to build my career in fashion. Fortunately, our bond was strong enough to survive the miles and we made it work!”
Wedding Planning
With an intimate wedding on the cards, Pavneet who hails from Kota, and Namrata who hails from Mumbai, decided to turn their sights towards Udaipur for a dreamy February wedding. To ensure that all the moments of their union were captured in stunning frames, they reached out to Jayesh Photography. Namrata shares, “It was an amazing experience with team Jayesh Photography. They were highly understanding, flexible and cooperative. However, the best part about working with them was that they precisely understood our needs and made us feel truly comfortable in front of the camera. They did a fantastic job at capturing each moment of our wedding, resulting in us getting super nostalgic every single time we go through the pictures today!”
At Indian weddings, dancing is a given, and to ensure that the guests remained at their groovy best was WeddingSutra Favorite – DJ Ganesh who felt the pulse of the guests and belted out lively tracks by creating heady mixes ensuring that no one left the dance floor. Namrata gushes, “Being a Sindhi and Punjabi wedding, DJ Ganesh understood the kind of music that people would lean towards and had everyone grooving on their feet till sunrise. It was an epic night!”
Weddings Functions
Mehndi
Sunlit and filled with joy, the Mehndi venue was encircled by frangipani trees. As the couple cheerily looked on, their loved ones executed one stunning dance performance after another. In contrasting shades of orange and aqua, the decor reflected the cheery mood of the attendees. And, taking charge on the fashion front was the bride herself who designed her mehndi outfit. Namrata shares, “Amidst all the hustle and bustle, I managed to create a feminine yet chic pink jumpsuit for myself that I donned during the mehndi celebrations.”
Ring Ceremony and Sangeet
Stepping up the glamor quotient several notches higher, the Ring Ceremony and Sangeet were swathed in shades of bright blue and gold. Equipped with a huge stage, the highlight of this event was Pavneet’s impromptu proposal as he presented Namrata with a ring on stage as their guests cheered him on. Later on, the duo took to the stage to perform a romantic dance number.
Wedding
Namrata shares, “Since this was a morning function we chose bright blooms and dreamy pastel hues. Auspicious Sikh symbols were installed around the venue to exude a peaceful vibe while large brass bells with jasmine garlands swayed gently in the wind.”
Reception
The bride shares, “After the dreamy daytime wedding, we wanted the night to transition into an exciting glamorous theme. Hence, we chose the jungle and disco theme which encouraged everyone to let their hair down on the dancefloor. Disco balls interspersed with foliage transformed the venue and made us feel like we’d been transported to a different world!” Additionally, the bride also designed her husband Pavneet’s sleek reception outfit. She shares, ” I was so happy to see Paveneet wear my creation. Being a designer I wanted to make sure he wore one of my creations on one of the biggest days of our lives.”
Advice For Couples
Namrata shares, “Weddings are exhausting but it’s important to live every moment of it. Enjoy the process and don’t stress if things don’t go exactly as planned. In my opinion, a wedding is a success when your friends and family have enjoyed it thoroughly. Fortunately, our loved ones had a gala time at our wedding.”
