Nandini and Vidur’s big, fat, fabulous traditional wedding at Caesars Resort Bluewaters Dubai featured an elegant mix of eclectic decor, impressive entertainers, and stunning views. Here are a few glimpses of the celebrations.

How They Met
The couple met through a mutual family friend two years ago, but things remained platonic for a while. It was only after a year had passed that sparks started flying between Nandini and Vidur, and from that point on, there was no looking back.

Wedding Venue
Nandini shares, “Even though the romance and regal charm of Middle-Eastern architecture is undeniable, we wanted to have a unique and contemporary setting for our wedding. We loved Caesars Resort Bluewaters Dubai for its spacious venues and modern European aesthetic.”

Wedding Planning
The couple entrusted the team of Red Velvet Events in Dubai with planning and executing the celebrations, whose special moments were captured in impeccable frames by Imprint Studios. Makeup artist Amrit Kaur created flawless and fresh looks for Nandini for each function.

Wedding Functions

Mehndi
The festivities kicked off with a mehndi party in pastel colors at the resort’s poolside venue called the Fortuna Pool Bar. Blue, blush and mauve hued decor elements added a layer of whimsy to the affair alongside drapes, floral setups, and hot air balloon props. Vintage pop art animations made for a quirky and memorable backdrop for the bar. A stage was set up for some fun performances by the couple and their guests. The entertainment for the function included Jonita Gandhi, percussionist Walter, and DJ Amit who came all the way from Delhi to delight the guests.

Cocktail
Inspired by the groom’s love of wildlife, the ‘Jungle Fever’ themed cocktail night was hosted in the Forum Ballroom. An extravagant tunnel with hanging foliage, disco balls, and live artists dressed as animals welcomed guests to the event. Neon signages with the couple’s wedding hashtag, #vining added glam to the decor, while overhead hangings of disco balls and flowers covered the whole venue which was illuminated with red, green, and rustic lighting. A rotating stage with an enormous disco ball and a dancer dancing on the top provided an oomph factor to the evening, while an infinity dance floor caught everyone’s eye and had them grooving. Percussionist Rohin Puri and DJ Amit entertained guests through the night and the delicious food was catered by the hotel, MMM Box, and Food Inc.

Haldi
The wedding day kicked off with an outdoor daytime Haldi ceremony which was hosted at the cabaña of the Fortuna Pool again. The radiant couple looked joyful as their friends and families smeared them with auspicious turmeric paste.

Wedding
The evening wedding was a grand affair complete with gorgeous outfits and decor. The stunning couple channeled royalty in decadent outfits from Sabyasachi Mukherjee. After the ceremony, everyone headed to the poolside reception dinner where famous singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan mesmerized the crowd with his mellifluous voice. After the festivities wrapped up, the night was kept going with an after-party at the ballroom.
