With a Pinterest-inspired decor and a grand palace setting for the ceremony, Natasha and Amrit’s wedding at the Ritz Carlton in Jakarta was big on glamour as well as little details.
How we met
Natasha met Amrit at her cousin’s wedding, nine years ago, and instantly connected. They quickly became friends and gradually love blossomed. It was a special moment when Amrit took Natasha to a James Blunt concert which left Natasha thoroughly impressed. A month later, they both went to Singapore for higher education and realized they were inseparable. Finally, nine years and 30 concerts later, they tied the knot!
Wedding Functions
Mehndi
Natasha and Amrit’s mehndi function was a based on a fairytale theme and had a recurrent pink and white color scheme throughout. The mehndi function was hosted at the poolside of the Holiday Inn Jakarta Kemayoran and was entirely decorated with pink florals and quirky props. The bride wore a gorgeous sea green princess gown by Natasha Asoka l’Atelier and accessorized it with a floral tiara and statement earrings from Minerali.
Wedding
The wedding was hosted at the very glamourous Ritz Carlton Jakarta and had guests talking about its fabulous decor. It was inspired by the antiquely designed walls in the Sabysachi store in India. With a special photo wall dedicated to the couple’s memories and a grand welcome setting, the decor was a complete stunner. The red, purple and gold colors set the tone for the décor and bold touches like gold/champagne chairs created a wonderful sense of drama. Natasha looked every bit of a maharani in her blush gold Sabyasachi Mukherjee lehenga and Raabta by Rahul’s statement jewellery while her beau wore an embellished Sherwani in the same color.
