This bride teamed her customized ‘love-story’ lehenga with two exquisite blouses for her wedding and her reception.
Based in Hong Kong and Singapore respectively, Natasha and Mohnish sealed the love they built travelling the world over, with a gorgeous beachside ceremony in Phuket. This was planned to perfection by WeddingSutra Favorite – Revel Events.

How they met
It all started in the idyllic town of Punta Arenas, Chile, where the couple met at a wedding. Even though they didn’t get a chance to interact much, they managed to exchange contact details. Natasha laughs, “Of course I played hard to get in the beginning, but not for long, and within 3 months we officially started dating. It was a long-distance relationship with its fair share of challenges, but with love and trust, we overcame every obstacle to reach where we are today”.
The Proposal
When the couple took a trip to Bali in December 2018, little did Natasha know what was in store for her. Mohnish had organized a surprise romantic dining experience right in the midst of a rice field with help from Plataran Ubud’s restaurant, and as they walked up the candle lit path, Natasha was taken aback by the beautiful decorations and how it looked.
She shares, “When we got to it, there was a personalized menu with our names on it with a well-planned four course meal including dessert, which is my favorite part of any meal. We were attended to by a private server as we sipped our red wine along with our delicious dinner. As we waited for our dessert, he took my hand and asked me the question every girl dreams of hearing. Of course, my answer was an emphatic yes! It was better than anything I had ever imagined.
Wedding Venue
“We both knew we did not want a city or a hotel wedding, so we started researching unusual properties for a unique and special experience. It was love at first sight with Angsana Laguna Phuket, Thailand, and we knew this was it!”.
Wedding Planning
The planning of their beach wedding was entrusted to the amazing duo of Rani and Harry of Revel Events, who were also responsible for the stunning visuals. Natasha shares, “Right from the beginning, Rani and Harry were on top of absolutely every aspect of the planning process, which spanned across an entire year! From coming up with decor ideas and props, to managing the budget and costs, they were with us at every step to give us the wedding of our dreams. We are so thankful to have had them, and they’re now like elder siblings to us!”
Wedding Functions
Ghari and Mehndi
The festivities kicked off with the Ghari Pooja and Mehndi function. For the indoor celebrations, the decor was kept fresh and lively in hues of yellow. The bride donned a teal blue and pink lehenga from Pix Boutique and teamed it with matching floral jewellery. Natasha’s hands were adorned with Mehndi that depicted elements from the couple’s relationship, like their love for coffee and wine, Hong Kong and Singapore skylines, their wedding logo and their pre-wedding photoshoot in Paris.
Welcome Dinner
The welcome dinner was an outdoor lawn party with sleek geometric decor and romantic lights that enveloped the evening in a warm illumination. The couple looked scintillating in shimmering silver outfits.
Wedding
The wedding was a serene affair along the beach with some romantic pastel pink decor, an eclectic round mandap festooned with blooms and a breathtaking view of the ocean beyond. The bride wanted a custom made lehenga that depicted their love story to signify the start of their new life, and her dream outfit was an alluring shade of blush created by designer Anjali Mahtani.
Reception
For the final reception dinner, the decor exuded a Gatsby-ish glamour with grand props, red roses and more. The bride wore her wedding lehenga paired with a dramatic blouse by the same designer for a distinctively contemporary, showstopping look.
