Neelam Chauhan and Sagar Suradkar, Della Resorts Lonavala
Serene and picturesque - this couple’s wedding featured minimal decor and maximum love!
A serene union of love and simplicity, Neelam Chauhan and Sagar Suradkar’s wedding at Della Resorts, Lonavala was a visual poem of grace, intimacy, and heartfelt moments. Every frame, beautifully captured by WeddingSutra Favorite- Happyframes, radiated calm elegance and authenticity.

How They Met
Neelam shares, “We were introduced through mutual friends, and there was mutual interest right from the start, but since we lived in different cities, we never acted on it. For about a year, we were just Instagram friends, until one day, I messaged Sagar after watching one of his drumming videos. From that moment, we never stopped talking.”

Wedding Planning
“Our wedding was designed to feel joyful and effortless, a true reflection of us,” says Neelam. “We included only the traditions meaningful to our parents and kept the décor minimal yet elegant. We didn’t want a loud, overly planned celebration, just a natural flow of moments with friends and family.” A soft palette of ivory, gold, and blush tones brought their vision to life, from floral-adorned mandap frames to serene Buddha décor that embodied peace and spirituality.
The couple fondly recall how Happyframes elevated the experience: “Their team was incredibly organised and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout our wedding events. Our family is usually terrible with photos, but they were always on top of the schedule, ensuring everyone was captured beautifully. The photographer made me feel completely at ease, resulting in some truly wonderful shots. They were exceptional – attentive, proactive, and perfectly managing every little detail. We couldn’t have asked for a better team to document our special days.”
Wedding Functions
Haldi
Vibrant yet intimate, the Haldi was soaked in shades of sunshine and laughter. Neelam was stunning in a mustard-yellow saree, perfectly complemented by Sagar’s cream kurta and paisley stole. “We wanted our Haldi to feel spontaneous and lighthearted — less about tradition, more about laughter,” Neelam shares.

Wedding
The wedding ceremony reflected tranquillity and grace. Set under a canopy of ivory and gold, the décor featured fresh blooms in white and pink, crystal chandeliers, and a golden Buddha statue. The couple exchanged vows surrounded by palm trees and soft sunlight, dressed in pristine white ensembles that echoed purity and peace. “We wanted the wedding to feel soulful and serene,” says Sagar. “It wasn’t about spectacle. It was about intention, family, and love.”

Advice For Couples
“My biggest advice,” says Neelam, “would be to keep the planning and traditions centred around what truly matters to your parents and you. The more elements you add, the more chaotic it becomes. And, somewhere in all that, the joy gets lost. We made every decision with one simple intention: that our parents and we should be able to enjoy every moment, not run around stressed.”
