Nikita and Sanil, Kochi, Kerala
From a peppy pool party to a peaceful dusk wedding, Nikita and Sanil's Kerala wedding was heady with contrasting vibes.
They first met in the US, but chose to wed in the verdant environs of Cochin, in Kerala. Nikita and Sanil’s destination ceremony had beautiful decor executed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Vivaah Wedding Decor Stylist. Captured by another WeddingSutra Favorite – Sam & Ekta, here’s how the fun and festive celebrations unfolded.
How They Met
Nikita and Sanil were introduced to each other by their parents, who exchanged phone numbers for the two. Having never met before, the couple were awkward initially but hit it off eventually and couldn’t wait to see each other in real life. It was Nikita who flew off to New York to see Sanil, and their first meeting itself was heady with sparkling chemistry between the two. Long dates and deep conversations saw the two falling in love, and Sanil confided his feelings to Nikita in Brooklyn. The couple was engaged within four days of Nikita flying back to her hometown, and the rest is history.

Pool Party
The wedding celebrations commenced with a nautical themed pool party hosted at Taj Malabar Resort & Spa, Cochin. With quirky, upbeat decor in shades of bright yellow and blue, the venue was transformed into a sophisticated marine spot with sailor caps, seashells and funny quotes. Guests wore bride and groom squad t-shirts and had a gala time in the pool.
Cocktail
A neon-themed cocktail followed the pool party. Dressed in glamorous white ensembles, the guests danced all night basking in the vibrance of colorful neon lights. The bride looked like a dream in a gorgeous white embellished gown designed by Ark. The groom on the other hand looked handsome in a blue Bonobos tuxedo.
Sangeet
The sangeet ceremony was marked by lots of music, dance and fun and incorporated a gorgeous blue and gold decor palette. Vivaah Wedding Decor Stylist erected a glitzy stage for the evening using bright LED lights. The couple wowed their audience with a romantic performance which was followed by fun dances performances by their loved ones.
Haldi
The couple’s haldi ceremony was a boisterous and enjoyable affair for all. Sitting on a traditional Indian swing, bride Nikita had the turmeric paste smeared upon her by her loved ones. The groom also was spotted having a merry time getting messed up with turmeric paste by his loved ones.
