From a sophisticated black-tie dinner to a vibrant traditional ceremony, this Udaipur wedding celebration was filled with glorious festivities.
Nirali and Alin’s Udaipur wedding was as exciting and fun as their six-year courtship. The couple began a new chapter in their lives together in the stunning location of Udaipur, amidst beautiful decor at an exquisite venue, all planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – 7X weddings By Dev-Raj.
How They Met
Having met at Sunburn Goa in 2010 through mutual friends, Nirali and Alin’s love story only began a few years later after they bumped into each other again in the summer of 2011. Theirs was an on- and off-relationship that officially began in 2012. It took Nirali and Alin over five years to realize that they could not bear to live without one another, and finally decided to get married in 2017.

Wedding Functions
Black-Tie Dinner
The festivities began with an elaborate pre-wedding dinner that was hosted to celebrate their union. The dinner had a vintage, English-themed decor, where a rich shade of red dominated the venue. A laid-back soiree, the dinner was enjoyed by the couple and guests with lots of fun, smiles and laughter. The couple dressed in a sophisticated cocktail attire, with the bride wearing a dazzling gold fishtail gown and the groom dressed in a black tuxedo with a bow tie.
Mehendi
This vibrant affair saw colorful, laser-cut drapes, blooms and frames forming parts of the lively decor. Nirali’s mehndi ceremony combined traditional rituals with modern entertainment. There was a shooting arcade, nail-art zone, mehndi artists and traditional dancers. The occasion saw the couple’s families and friends having a fun-filled time indulging in all the activities available and shaking a leg on the dance floor.
Sangeet
Nirali and Alin’s garden-themed sangeet venue was decked with bohemian floral arches and fairy lights, lending it an elegant atmosphere. The opulent stage that was erected saw spectacular performances by the couple’s families and friends. The couple was all smiles throughout the party, looking radiant as they basked in their pre-wedding glow. The bride wore a bottle-green lehenga with gota work. She gave a power-packed performance with her groom, who wore a monochrome Indo-Western sherwani.
Haldi
Nirali and Alin each had their own haldi ceremonies. Each of the events consisted of close family members and friends, who applied turmeric paste on them in order to prepare them for their big day.
Poolside Soiree
A poolside brunch was hosted for the guests to enjoy some sun by the pool after a night full of dancing. Pastel shades were used for the décor. An arch loaded with pastel flowers and white lanterns stood over the entrance of the pool deck. A beautiful photo-booth was also set up for the guests to get amazing pictures. The event was kept light and breezy so that the couple could spend time chilling with their friends and family.
Wedding
The varmala ceremony took place under a beautiful floral arc, while the pheras were held in a stunning red mandap erected by the pool. The bride was seen in a gorgeous red lehenga. She arrived in a vintage car to wed her handsome groom, who looked dapper in an ivory sherwani.
Reception
Nirali and Alin’s reception was fresh and fun, with a gorgeous floral canopy that enchanted everybody present. Chandeliers, drapes, flowers and a beautiful pathway added a regalness to the event. The bride, dressed in a mauve lehenga, looked marvelous beside her groom, who was dressed in a navy blue suit. A sophisticated event, the reception made sure that the wedding festivities of Nirali and Alin ended as gloriously as they had begun.
Advice for couples
The bride says, “Both our families were very involved in all the details of the wedding and because of that the entire event turned out to be extremely special and personal. Planning a wedding can take up too much time and energy but you need to stay calm during the process. You only get married once so it is important to be involved in all the steps before it as well, because only you know what you need to make your day the most special.”
