How They Met
Nirali was first introduced to Vatsal by her elder sister at their Navratri party 5 years ago. She shares, “He made an instant impression on me with his moves, and we spent all night dancing with each other. He asked my sister for my number the next day and many conversations later, here we are!”
Wedding Venue
After their initial vision of a destination wedding in Goa got derailed owing to the Pandemic, the couple chose to wed in their home city of Bangalore. Home to many special memories they made together, Taj Yeshwantpur was the perfect choice for their big day.
Wedding Planning
The couple tied the knot with a vibrant Gujarati wedding, which was planned and executed to perfection by Wedlock Weddings by Vima. Talking about their experience they share, “Your wedding planner has to perfectly align with your tastes and perspectives, and understand exactly what you want to make the process easy and fun. Vima had already planned two weddings for us previously, so she was like family to us and we knew from day one that she would be our planner. However, keeping that aside, her work speaks for itself and her creativity and attention to detail is beyond amazing. The best part is that she never repeats her work and always comes up with something new, taking her client’s every idea and opinion into consideration, giving nothing but her best.”

Wedding Functions
Ganesh Pooja
After some intimate home functions, the festivities kicked off at Taj Yeshwantpur with a traditional Gujarati Mandwa function. Marked with minimal yet vibrant decor and a stunning mandap with a canopy of ‘mouli dhaga’, the occasion was full of warm family moments and auspicious rituals.
Mehndi
While the groom’s mehndi function was a quaint family event, the bride went all out for her celebration. Inspired by her love for the color pink, the striking poolside soiree saw a vivid entryway of fuchsia blooms, an eclectic bridal setup of huge 3-D flowers and flamingos, neon decor elements, and more. The fun-filled affair saw non-stop entertainment.
Haldi
The traditional yellow-hued Haldi function got a chic modern update with Capri-themed citrus decor. Lush green installations and corners were decked with the timeless allure of sunflowers and the fresh charm of Italian lemons for a memorable experience. The couple entered on a beautifully decorated white chariot before getting doused with turmeric paste by their loved ones.
Sangeet
The glitzy Sangeet saw a lively circus theme that was utterly unique. Bathed by the warm glow of lounge lights, the decor saw red and white checkered elements in everything from tables to the dance floor, while animal-shaped installations added to the fun. The carousel bar however marked the highlight of the night. High on the glamor quotient, the night saw energetic performances by the couple and their loved ones.
Wedding
Hosted with Gujarati rituals, the elegant wedding was a bohemian dream. The soft romantic decor in delicate earth and blush tones boasted of pampas grass, flowers, greens, wooden elements and an abundance of macramé art. The couple matched the tone of the occasion in dainty hues of pink and ivory while looking like a portrait of love as they celebrated their union with their loved ones.
Advice for couples
“Do not stress about perfection! It’s great to keep track of all your ideas, but there will be a lot of things that you and your partner won’t agree on, so try finding a middle ground and most importantly, do not lose view of what is important”.
