Nisha and Gaurav, Kerala
From Italian decor & watermelon motifs to a boho teepee mandap, this wedding reflected the couple's personalities beautifully.
Gaurav and Nisha’s individual personalities shone through at their Kerala wedding that unfolded in the lap of nature. The festivities were planned and conceptualized by WeddingSutra Favorite – The A Cube Project. Capturing all the highlights of the celebrations were two WeddingSutra Favorites – Nikhil Shastri Photography and Magic Motion Media who gave the couple memories they will treasure for a lifetime. Here, bride Nisha shares some highlights of the wedding.
Wedding Venue
Hosted at The Raviz Kovalam, a scenic resort in Kerala, the wedding unfolded in calm, spacious environs. Engaging all the senses with its beautiful vistas, this resort was the perfect place to wed amidst nature’s beauty.
Wedding Planning
Being independent individuals who weren’t afraid of taking charge of the situation, Nisha and Gaurav were totally involved in the decision-making process from day one itself minus any parental involvement. Their two-day North-South destination wedding was made even more unique with an Arya Samaj wedding ceremony on day one which was followed by a sangeet. Planned, conceptualized, styled and decorated by The A Cube Project, each ceremony reflected the duo’s personal tastes. The plethora of emotions were captured beautifully by photographers Nikhil Shastri Photography and Magic Motion Media.
Adding to the stellar team were Seed Events who took care of the hospitality, The Wedding Factory who looked after the production, and The Wedding Bartenders who made sure all the guests were in high spirits throughout the celebrations.
Weddings Functions
Welcome Lunch
Inspired by the idyllic locales of Italy where the couple enjoyed a memorable 10-day vacation, the welcome lunch decor symbolized rustic charm with Italian elements such as olive oil bottles, lemons, checkered tablecloths, cutting boards, and wine bottles. Guests enjoyed mingling with each other and relished the freshly baked bread.
Wedding
Following the theme ‘Love in the Tropics’, the decor of the big day took its cue from Kerala itself by making the most out of the natural surroundings to create a dreamy setup. Capturing the essence of the bride’s bohemian spirit and adding a dash of both their colorful and quiet personalities, elements like a teepee mandap adorned with lavender wildflowers along with a casual seating arrangement allowed everyone to enjoy themselves unhindered at this sundowner beach wedding.
Holi Brunch
Acknowledging Nisha’s love for watermelons, this event included elements inspired by the much-loved summer fruit. A cute seating arrangement paired with quirky prints and the vivid colors of summer, the brunch encouraged everyone to let their hair down as they burst color bombs and showered each other with flowers. Fruity and fresh cocktails made sure that everyone was in a happy mood as they reveled in the festive atmosphere.
Cocktail Evening
Reflecting on the couple’s penchant for all things cozy, a retro outdoor movie night decor was created to wrap up the wedding celebrations on a high note. Equipped with a popcorn cart, teepees, and a live music performance, this event screened ‘The Sound Of Music’ to give everyone a taste of nostalgia as they sang along.
