Nitya Gupta and Harsh Shah, Chomu Palace Hotel, Jaipur
With equal doses of traditional and modern decor elements, this couple’s destination wedding in Jaipur was an opulent celebration.
Product managers, Nitya Gupta who works at Yelp and Harsh Shah, who works at Fy! tied the knot at a destination wedding in Jaipur. Planning their wedding and ensuring that the couple’s vision came to life was WeddingSutra Favorie – Noon Moon Events who orchestrated a series of impeccable celebrations.
Wedding Planning
Nitya shares, “We wanted our wedding to be fun, traditional yet modern. And wanted to also host it at a heritage property. After the venue was finalised, we started scouting for a wedding planner and thankfully, came across Noon Moon Events! They understood our tastes from the get-go. Everything was minimal and raw while complementing the natural beauty of the venue. Wedding planning can be quite a hustle but with them by our side, we felt the entire process was so much fun! They truly gave their everything to make our Gujarati and Marwadi fusion wedding a memorable one.”
Harsh goes on to add, “We also wanted to create a photo-op space for our guests without it seeming like a traditional photo booth. These backdrops and decor was done in such a manner that it was around for the entire duration of the wedding. We also requested a similar setup that’d be there throughout from the hotel entrance to the main entrance which was very beautifully executed by the team.”
Weddings Functions
Mehndi
The couple’s mehndi event also doubled up as a welcome party. Basking under the sun, the event was a colorful one surrounded by trees. Multiclored tassels were suspended from tree branches while breezy canopies ensured the guests could revel in the shade. A small dancefloor lined with white blooms was also a part of the decor.
Sangeet
For the sangeet, glamor took the frontseat as LED candles lit up the stage which was set under a star studded sky. Shiny disco balls, sequins and suspended white florals ensured the event was as elegant as it was glamorous.
Haldi
Yellow reigned supreme for the haldi event as the decor focussed on bright marigolds that swathed the venue in bright hues. Additionally, brass urlis and vases added a traditional charm to the event.
Wedding and Reception
For the wedding, the couple decided to go down the traditional route with a plush color palette that consisted of bright reds and soothing cream hues. With a stage backed by florals, a mandap decorated with suspended gold latkans and a varmala moment punctuated with cold pyros, the wedding was a fun-filled one. Later on, the reception was hosted at the same venue where the couple mingled with the guests.
