Wedding Functions
Mehndi
Following the bridal mehndi which was a family affair, the festivities at ITC Maratha kicked off with a Mehndi and Sufi night. The rustic-chic decor with earthy hues, dried and fresh flowers, wicker baskets, terracotta pots, and Arabian lamps perfectly set the mood for a night of Sufi melodies by Farhan Sabri band. The couple arrived exuberantly to greet their guests as they got their hands painted with henna, and the revelries continued into the night with rousing music by DJ Sasha.
Haldi
Brimming with greenery that was lit up with flowers of every color, the Haldi morning transported the guests to a floral haven! From shamiana pillars to canopies, the couple seating, table centerpieces, and charming decor corners, blooms in vibrant hues covered every surface, filling the occasion with nothing short of magic. Anchor Shweta kicked off the festivities in true Punjabi style with ‘gidda, bhangra, and boliya’, setting a lively tone that carried into the ceremony. The couple was anointed with turmeric and showered with flowers and love.
Sangeet
The evening revved up with the glitz and glam of their Engagement and Sangeet function. Enveloped in a sea of crystals and shimmer, the decor of baby’s breath, disco balls, and metallic aesthetics set a magical ambiance for a night of non-stop enjoyment. Beginning with a traditional Sagan ceremony, the couple went on to exchange rings, cut the cake, and pop some champagne before making way for the family performances. Along with the unmatched energy and music of DJ Madoc, the guests were also titillated by the art of Mentalism by Jerry.
Anand Karaj
The next morning started with a choora ceremony and the groom’s baraat, followed by a traditional Anand Karaj at the Gurudwara. The couple looked ethereal in hues of pink, while the rituals were cocooned by the soft elegance of purple and white blooms.
Wedding
Resplendent in ivory and red, the Hindu wedding ceremony was brimming with grandeur. The plush floral decor of roses, mogras, and rajnigandha blooms painted the occasion with their traditional charm and beauty, while the fusion of Indian classical music by Sarang and his team filled the air with serenity. The bride made her entry to a soulful Kashmiri song about a father giving away his daughter in marriage, making for an emotional experience for everyone present. The couple tied the knot to great applause and celebrated their nuptials with a reception dinner.
