Prakruti and Neil, ITC Maratha, Mumbai
Fusing the bride’s love for whimsy and the groom’s love for structure, this couple’s wedding was the best of both worlds.
Prakruti and Neil’s wedding was a heartfelt celebration designed to reflect the couple’s journey and personalities. Planned to perfection by WeddingSutra Favorite – Double S Enterprises, each function unfolded seamlessly, capturing the warmth of family, the joy of togetherness, and the beauty of understated sophistication.
Wedding Planning
Every event was conceptualised with its own distinct aesthetic, echoing the couple’s love for detail and authenticity. “From conceptualisation to execution, our approach revolved around creating immersive experiences that blended cultural roots with modern elegance,” shares the team from Double S Enterprises. The planners worked closely with the couple to curate a celebration that felt personal and cohesive by using thoughtful colour palettes, textural contrasts, and emotive design to tell their story. “They wanted each function to evoke a unique mood,” adds the team. “We focused on storytelling through décor, colours, and textures, ensuring that every setup reflected their tastes, that is, his preference for structure and her love for whimsy.”
Wedding Functions
Haldi
Bathed in golden hues, the Haldi was a picture of joy and sunshine. Cascading florals created a warm, traditional setting, while the couple’s coordinated orange ensembles added vibrance to the celebration. Laughter, music, and playful moments filled the air as family and friends came together in a spirited start to the festivities.
Mehndi
The Mehndi blended elegance with cheer. A soft, romantic palette of blush and pinks framed the space, adorned with lush floral accents and delicate lighting. The mood was light-hearted with friends and family dancing, mingling, and enjoying every moment. The setup exuded an intimate yet lively vibe, perfectly matching the couple’s personality.
Wedding
The wedding was a serene and soulful affair set against a lush backdrop of greenery. An ivory mandap adorned with fragrant tuberose and delicate garlands framed the couple as they took their pheras. The varmala stage, blanketed in layers of fresh rose petals, created a picture-perfect moment for the couple. Accents of handcrafted parrots and floral strings added subtle whimsy to the otherwise classic setup.
