Combining the best of warmth and elegance with style, Priyal and Raunak’s wedding buzzed with energy as the couple along with their loved ones enjoyed themselves to the fullest. Hosted at The Leela Palace Udaipur, this union was steeped in luxury as the duo and their loved ones indulged in top-notch hospitality and gazed at stunning vistas. Designing the wedding was WeddingSutra Favorite – Knotie Productions who with their keen sense of innovation understood the couple’s vision and amplified it. Capturing the couple at their stylish best was WeddingSutra Favorite – Seventy by Two who used their photography skills to the fullest.
How They Met
Priyal shares, “After meeting Raunak at a party shortly after moving to the US, we initially didn’t have a chance to talk. However, over the following six months, we became close friends, attending parties together and sharing memorable moments. Raunak’s gestures, like surprising me with a care package or taking care of me when I was sick, deeply touched my heart. Through his constant support and acceptance, my feelings for him gradually grew. We endured a challenging year of long-distance while I was in California and he was in New Jersey, but Raunak’s dedication was evident as he took numerous flights just to be with me. Realizing I couldn’t imagine life without him, I made the decision to move to New Jersey. We spent two years together there before I expressed a desire to move to India to be closer to my family. In a display of his commitment, Raunak decided to return to India with me, assuring me of his unwavering love and support.”
Wedding Venue
Priyal shares, “I fell in love with the city of Udaipur on my previous trip there. Fast forward 10 years, and my manifestation became a reality we embarked on a hotel recce in Udaipur for wedding venues. Stepping off the boat and entering The Leela Palace Udaipur, we instantly knew that this was the perfect place. The warmth exuded by the people made us feel at home, while every corner of the hotel mesmerized us with its heritage and offered a breathtaking backdrop of the City Palace and the lake.”
Wedding Planning
Designed by Knotie Production, the decor looked stunning as the couple and their loved ones savored every moment of the union. The photography was helmed by Seventy by Two who with their expertise captured the couple’s milestone moments as well as the raw emotions of their loved ones. The couple shares, “Team Seventy by Two were the best to work with! We are not typically picture people but it was so comfortable with them. During the wedding process, they shared fun ideas about entries, songs, and photo locations and the end result is magnificent! We’ve relived my wedding through their videos and pictures. They create absolute magic!”
Wedding Functions
White Wedding
Priyal shares, “A white wedding is something I’ve always dreamed of. And to create the right wedding ambience, an intimate welcome dinner was planned for all the guests, with a dress code implemented to enhance the overall experience”.
Mehendi
The couple shares, “The Mehendi ceremony was a delightful affair, filled with joyous and happy vibes that set the perfect tone for the day. The decor was meticulously arranged with a charming sunflower theme. As the day unfolded, the dance floor became the centre of attention, with close friends and family members gleefully moving to the groovy beats. Laughter and merriment filled the air as everyone revealed in the celebration, making it a truly memorable and auspicious beginning to the festivities.”
Haldi
The couple shares, “For our haldi ceremony, we chose an open garden venue adorned with a breathtaking entrance crafted from fresh flowers. The air was filled with contagious enthusiasm as the music played on. Our friends and family wholeheartedly embraced the spirit of the haldi, making it a truly unforgettable experience.”
Sangeet
Raunak shares, “The sangeet ceremony, undoubtedly, was the highlight of the wedding festivities, and was an absolute spectacle. The bridal entourage entered with a flash mob theme from ‘The Office’ TV series. Our cousins joined us on the dance floor, creating a vibrant and joyous atmosphere. And of course, we couldn’t miss the opportunity for a special couple’s dance, celebrating our love in the midst of the exhilarating energy.”
Wedding
Priyal shares, “The varmala was the highlight of my wedding, and it quickly became my absolute favorite moment. It was a surreal and emotional experience, enhanced by the perfect backdrop. With the beautiful sunset, a serene lake, and the majestic city palace in the distance, everything felt magical. Despite the presence of our closest friends and family, it felt like a moment just for us. Hearing their cheers and support added to the fairy tale atmosphere. It truly was a dream come true, a memory that will forever hold a special place in my heart.”
Advice For Couples
Learning from their own experience, the couple shares, “When it comes to wedding planning, it’s natural for stress to arise, but remember to prioritize having fun throughout the process. Keep checking in on each other’s well-being and provide support when needed. Take breaks from the planning to relax and rejuvenate, and most importantly, communicate openly about your thoughts and feelings. By approaching the tasks together as a team, you can make the experience enjoyable and effortless.”
