Celebrating their journey from best friends to life partners, Radhika Jitani and Sanchit Goel tied the knot with their dream wedding in the hills surrounded by the beauty of nature. How they met
Some stories are written in the stars – just like this one. Radhika Jitani and Sanchit Goel studied in the same college and became best friends. Little did they know then that they would end up finding their soulmates in each other and tie the knot several years down the line.
Wedding Planning
Their dream of getting married in the hills brought them to the stunning property of Hyatt Regency Dehradun Resort and Spa, nestled in the foothills of Mussoorie. Brought on board to plan every detail of the wedding, Team Whistling Teel curated a masterpiece that blended beauty, culture, and music for a vibrant, interactive celebration of love. The two-day affair was hosted in June, and with the advent of early monsoon, it was converted into a monsoon wedding where everything was redesigned and restructured in between the functions. With extensive experience in handling Himalayan weddings, this task was very expertly managed by Whistling Teel, and the wedding was executed with finesse as expected.
Despite unexpected rain, every event setup was flawlessly altered and executed much to the delight of the couple. Every beautiful moment was captured by Destination Photographers.
Wedding Functions
Mehndi
Hosted on the rooftop with a draped roof that allowed the beauty of nature to seep in, the mehndi was a whimsical affair. Sunshine, rain, and bright hues enveloped the floral paradise for a morning of unlimited fun. Filled with tassels, blooms, color bombs, and more, the entryway for the couple’s appearance was just as adventurous as them. The lovebirds sat in a field of flowers while guests were treated to a personalized Perfume Lounge, games, personalized glass engraving, and a whole lot more.
Sangeet
The evening revved up with a luxurious Sangeet soiree that saw a riveting night of music, dance, and revelries. Gilded tables, plush floral arrangements, stunning crystal chandeliers, and warm mood lighting infused the occasion with a sense of splendor. Jaw-dropping performances by the couple and their loved ones turned up the energy, the momentum of which continued into the night as everyone hit the dance floor.
Haldi
The bright citrus hues of the haldi function lit up against the verdant surroundings of the hotel for the most stunning contrast. With a refreshingly modern take on the ritual, the decor saw floral installations of birds, artistic jute baskets, drapes, woven hangings, and more. Sitting in a brass urli, the couple painted a picture of love as they were doused with haldi and flowers.
Wedding
A floral wonderland, the wedding celebration was infused with inimitable magic. From the crescent-shaped floral pillars in the entryway to the mirrored aisle, the textured canopy of drapes, crystals, and prop birds, and even the stylish dinner setup, everything spelled pure splendor. What stole the show however was the ‘Tree of Life’ inspired mandap, which captured the spirit of the occasion.
