Wedding Planning
Raika shares, “Both of our families were keen on an intimate wedding at a unique destination. Spurred by this thought, we chose Bahrain. When we received the final photos and videos we were blown away, each image was a work of art, evoking the joy and tenderness we experienced during those precious moments. Wedding Functions
Welcome Brunch
Raika shares, “The wedding celebrations were kick-started with a fun welcome brunch. We wanted everyone to sit back and relax as they enjoyed local artists performing. This also gave us the perfect opportunity to capture some beautiful pre-wedding couple portraits.”
Sundowner
“The sundowner event was all about boho glamour! We danced our hearts out to some groovy tunes and had a gala time indulging ourselves. The boho set up by the beach put everyone in an energetic mood. The event was followed by a club-themed after-party featuring a DJ”, says Raika.
Haldi
The haldi ceremony was hosted on the beach with serene waves and a clear blue sky offering a picturesque backdrop. Minimal decor blended beautifully with the scenic venue. Raika shares, “Our loved ones were at their playful best as they donned yellow outfits and slathered us with haldi. It was sheer madness as we waded into the waves and basked in love.”
Mehendi
For the mehndi, the couple were inspired by the local arts and crafts. They opted for an Arabian Souk setup with vintage carpets, wooden beams and red floral decor. A vast dancefloor paved the way for fun games and impromptu dance sessions.
Sangeet
Raika shares, “The sangeet brimmed with glamour, loud performances and crazy dance moves. It was, in short, everything could’ve hoped for. Flashing lights and an LED screen-backed stage had everyone showcasing their best moves. The after party flaunted a Bollywood theme with the DJ playing beloved Bollywood chartbusters.”
Wedding
Raika shares, “The baraat consisted of a luxury vintage car on which Sagar made a dashing entry. His over-enthusiastic groom squad danced away as the DJ accompanying them played groovy beats. For the wedding, we’d imagined a serene setting with bright pink hues. Thankfully, our vision came true. With the salty sea breeze in our hair surrounded by fresh pink blooms and our loved ones – we got hitched for life.”
Reception
Glamour was at its peak at the reception event where both the families came together to celebrate the union. Champagne toasts and heartfelt speeches were made to honor the couple. Lit up by fairylights, and candles and adorned with roses – the decor was sleek and elegant.
Advice For Couples
The couple shares, “Plan your wedding keeping each guest in mind. They should feel involved in each event. Try to keep every event as unique as possible. Once you make your loved ones feel comfortable their emotions will come forth more easily. As a couple, enjoy these once-in-a-lifetime magical moments completely. Cherish them, feel the love and stress less enjoy more.”
