Ranjini and Sunith, Taj West End, Bengaluru
Combining white and purple hues in their wedding decor, this couple’s minimalistic wedding resembled a picture-perfect fairytale.
Simple and accentuated by dashes of vivid purple, Ranjini and Sunith’s wedding in Bengaluru was a charming occasion where the couple celebrated their love in a close-knit wedding ceremony. Hosted in the lush environs of Taj West End, Bengaluru this union was surrounded by nature’s bounties, which in turn, added to the beauty of the occasion. Designed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Wedlock Weddings By Vima, the decor was created keeping the couple’s tastes in mind and blended beautifully with the natural lushness of the venue.
How They Met
Ranjini shares, “We have been colleagues at work for over 10 years and have worked together on various projects over the years. However, we remained as good friends. It all changed in 2020 when Covid hit, and we were all confined to our homes. While we were both privileged enough to retain our jobs throughout the pandemic, unfortunately, our work pressure increased immensely. During this time of struggling to cope with work, we relied on each other to help us get through. The long hours of meetings and calls with each other showed us how much we had in common and how much we supported each other.”
Wedding Venue
Sunith shares, “We knew that we wanted a very small wedding, with just the people closest to our hearts to be present for the ceremony. The aim was to have a classy but low-key event, and the Taj West End, Bengaluru with its historic background seemed to be the perfect place for it! The hospitable concierge from Taj recommended a list of wedding planners and was extremely helpful at every step of the way. Plus, the venue exuded a sense of vintage charm that was quite enchanting!”
Wedding Planning
Ranjini shares, “From the get-go, Wedlock Weddings by Vima has enthusiastically taken every idea that we shared, and turned it into a reality. Everyone in the team was very professional and proactive in all our interactions. For every idea that we suggested, the team always came up with 3-4 options to choose from. Their vast experience in wedding planning was showcased in their suggestions for filling in ideas that we missed out on. The team not only took care of the decor but many additional aspects as well, like the music licensing, permission from local authorities, DJ and coordination amongst all vendors. On the wedding day, the team was present throughout the event, coordinating with everyone involved.”
Weddings Functions
Wedding
Sunith shares, “Ours was a small outdoor wedding with less than 50 of our closest friends and family. We selected a purple and white floral theme because flowers have always held a special place in Ranjini’s heart. The decor team went all-out to turn this vision into a reality. They took up the daunting task of finding the perfect shade of purple flowers, and the end result was nothing short of a European outdoor wedding picture seen on Pinterest. The perfectly matched crystal chairs and floral arches were so unique, they gave the feeling of a wedding set in a small European village. Every guest came back to us later and told us that this was the first time they had attended a wedding which felt so different.”
Advice For Couples
The couple shares, “The wedding day is going to be hectic and chaotic, no matter how well you plan it. So invest your time and effort in finding the right team who aligns with what you visualise for your wedding.”
