Ravina and Aditya’s fun wedding hosted at the ITC Grand Goa Resort and Spa was a combination of creative setups, cultural traditions, and competitive games. WeddingSutra Favorite – Sam & Ekta captured the spirit and candid emotions of the celebrations artistically.
How They Met
Ravina and Aditya’s love story began on a tennis court where their paths crossed for the first time. They’re both huge sports enthusiasts and are known to always be up for a game – any game. It is this shared interest in sports that brought them closer and eventually led them towards love.
Wedding Planning
After finalizing the customary ceremonies and their themes, the couple focused on collaborating on the photography briefs with WeddingSutra Favorite – Sam & Ekta. Knowing their capabilities Ravina and Aditya were sure the duo would work their magic through the camera lens and they delivered exceptional results. A few days before the wedding, Sam & Ekta’s team met with the couple’s families in their hometown of Ahmedabad in Gujarat. There, the team captured and documented all the special moments over the several soirées hosted by their families before hitting the runway and arriving at the wedding destination – The ITC Grand Goa Resort & Spa!
Wedding Functions
Mehndi
The auspicious wedding celebrations commenced with the mehndi ceremony. The bride looked gorgeous in a pale blue outfit and a floral crown as the mehndi artist traced intricate henna patterns onto her hands. The setting sun and auburn sky made the setting all the more alluring.
Haldi and Holi
The second day of the pre-wedding celebrations saw the dual haldi and holi functions being hosted. Guests dressed up in shades of white and yellow for the occasion. After a quick haldi ceremony, the wedding guests brought out a fistful of colors and showered it on the bride, groom, and everyone else around with them. The wedding party was in high spirits as they enjoyed the vibrant ceremony at The ITC Grand Goa Resort & Spa while Sam & Ekta’s team captured the happy and goofy expressions on everyone’s faces.
Sangeet
While the guests spent the morning doused in colors, the evening brought out their love for dancing. A grand stage with minimal decor and the glorious evening sun in the backdrop provided the perfect setting for the sangeet. Everyone wore their dancing shoes and brought their best moves to the dancefloor especially the bride and groom! After all the choreographed performances, the guests moved indoors to one of ITC Grand Goa’s spacious ballrooms. What ensued was a LED-themed afterparty which went on until the wee hours of the morning.
Brunch
After some much-needed sleep, the wedding guests joined Ravina and Aditya for a late brunch on the third day. The couple indulged the guests in their love for games as they made arrangements of some lawn sports including the famous, ‘Cornhole.’ Ravina and Aditya played a few rounds themselves, and the bride emerged as the winner. Even though the groom had lost the game, he had a beaming smile on his face as he looked at the love of his life.
Wedding
The wedding was set to take place on the beachfront on the same evening. The groom arrived in a vintage convertible, which was surely a head turner. Soon, all eyes were on the gorgeous bride as the glimmer reflecting off her jewels matched her sun-kissed bridal glow. Once again, the setting sun made the perfect backdrop as it splashed hues of dusk across the horizon as the couple took their pheras. The beautiful mandap was a highlight with its floral and foliage decor. Alluring fireworks took over the night sky marking the completion of the traditional wedding ceremony.
Pyjama Party
The wedding festivities ended on a high note as the couple hosted a pajama party for their guests. The dress code relieved the guests of dressing up for another party. The bride, groom and the wedding party focused on just one thing – having fun. A champagne tower, shot glasses, and an entertaining playlist got everyone dancing. The happiness that the couple shared as they celebrated the beginning of their blissful married life is tangible through all the photos.
