Wedding Planning
“Working with Plush Weddings was a breeze! They are so accommodating and innovative. Their experience makes them veterans who know exactly how everything works. Because of them, I could just chill through the planning process. There was zero stress as everything was taken care of from the get-go. Keeping the guests entertained throughout the wedding was also an essential point for us. Keeping this in mind, we collaborated with our planners to create a varied entertainment line-up which included Bismil ki mehfil, Alisha Arora, Hari & Sukhmani, Tarit Pal, DJ Ajay Nautiyal and DJ Sukhbir”, shares Rhea.
For photographing their wedding, the couple roped in Camlition Productions who with their expertise captured some truly memorable moments. Be it candid pictures of the couple’s dancing to the emotional glances they shared at the mandap – each picture expressed a plethora of emotions. Rhea shares, “The photography team was constantly on their toes and the results speak for themselves. They were incredibly patient and didn’t miss a beat.”
Weddings Functions
Cocktail
Rhea shares, “We wanted the cocktail to exude a wild, amazon jungle-like vibe. The aim was to make the guests feel that they were entering a different world altogether. Hence, a very glamorous entry tunnel was created to make that strong first impression. Plus, I was keen on everyone having full access to the bar which led to us choosing a square-shaped bar. A formal stage was eschewed and cabana-style seating was strategically placed around the venue. We also had multiple photo-op areas where the guests took endless selfies.”
Mehndi
Rhea shares, “This event took place at our farmhouse and as briefed to the team, it was extremely pretty. Optimum use was made of limited space and here also, we included a circular bar around the jamun tree. Suspended tassels danced in the breeze and the design story followed an ‘Indian Summer’ theme.”
Wedding
For the wedding, the couple went for local flavors as they took a cue from vintage Indian architecture. Rhea shares, “Indian blooms like jasmine and tuberoses were used across the venue for an immersive sensorial experience. Their floral notes made the place smell so heavenly. On the decor front, we took a cue from vintage wooden and metal doors that are so often seen in Indian architecture. This element gave the wedding a very unique look in comparison to the jharokha one usually sees. Additionally, a 10kg flower shower during the varmala resulted in some truly picture-perfect moments!”
Advice For Couples
“Finalize your vendors well in advance. Don’t leave things for the last minute. The major planning elements should be covered a few months before the wedding”, advises Rhea.
