How They Met
Riddhi recalls, “Siddharth and I have known each other for the last 12 years, and our parents are the best of friends. And even though we’d been friends for the longest time, we never really considered a relationship. But, I think something in between us clicked and as both our families were moving to the US together, Siddharth approached me at the airport with a cup of hot chocolate that had the question, ‘Will you be my girlfriend?’ hidden in it.”
Wedding Venue
The duo’s wedding venues in Jaipur ranged from luxurious palaces to a lush garden. Celebrating the rich heritage of the city, the haldi was held at Hotel Diggi Palace which was perfect for the young couple’s vibrant personalities. The mehndi, however, was held at the Kanak Vrindavan, a peaceful garden within the valley surrounded by the Aravali Hills. Lastly, their wedding ceremony was hosted at the magnificent City Palace, where the queen of Jaipur resides.

Wedding Functions
Mehndi
Following a ‘carnival’ theme, the mehndi was a bright affair that featured floral decor and a gorgeous swing decorated with blooms on which Riddhi and Siddharth basked in the sunshine, surrounded by their loved ones. Riddhi wore a mint green lehenga with floral embroidery that she paired with natural, light makeup, while Siddharth, followed his bride’s lead, and donned a mint green floral bandhgala ensemble. The action continued after the mehndi with a cricket match between Team Bride and Team Groom.
Haldi
Staying in sync with tradition, the haldi ceremony was swathed in hues of white and yellow. As Riddhi got her pre-wedding glow on, Siddharth along with family and friends, danced to his heart’s content under a sheer canopy of white and yellow that protected them from the desert sun. For this event, Riddhi kept it breezy in an ombre yellow and white lehenga which she accessorized with rich purple orchids. The groom also followed suit by donning a bright yellow bandhgala jacket.
Sangeet
A dazzling evening ceremony surrounded by flashing lights and the beats of the dhol, the fun sangeet witnessed everyone shaking their leg on the dance floor. The duo also took the dance floor by storm and performed to their favorite songs. Glowing in a lilac mirror work lehenga, Riddhi struck a fine balance between tradition and glamor. Siddharth also chose a hue from the same color family and opted for a lilac bandhgala suit.
Wedding
Paying homage to the royal architecture they were surrounded by, Riddhi and Siddharth’s wedding ceremony was a lavish affair. With a classic red, white, and green color palette, the decor highlighted the luxurious surroundings and complemented the palatial vistas.
For her big day, Riddhi kept it simple and elegant in a floral white lehenga paired with diamonds and emeralds encrusted jewelry. The groom channeled his inner prince in a white and pink sherwani which he accessorized with a gorgeous layered ruby necklace.
Advice For Couples
“With a courtship period lasting exactly one year, I still feel that Siddharth and I did not get much time to plan. Hence, I’d advise everyone to not sit idle and start planning as soon as possible to make your dream wedding come true. Believe me, once you start you’ll realize how much there is to be done!”
