Riddhi and Ujjval, Hotel Diggi Palace, Jaipur
The couple tied the knot in a whimsical ‘Under-the-tree’ mandap with chandeliers, crystals and flowers.
Planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Noon Moon Events, Riddhi and Ujjval’s multicultural destination wedding was a charming blend of intimate festivities and striking decor.
How they met
Riddhi and Ujjval’s journey started as good friends way back in college, interacting in common clubs and working on projects together, before going on to join the same organization. It was during a year-long work assignment in Thailand that they started feeling a deeper connection and eventually started dating. Over time their love grew stronger, and Ujjval popped the question to Riddhi with an elaborate home proposal amidst the Pandemic.
Wedding Planning
The couple wanted a destination wedding at a heritage property with their families & friends where they could enjoy a full week of fun to leave behind all the stress & tension that accompanied the pandemic period. However, they also needed the location to be conveniently accessible for everyone, especially grandparents, and after much research they selected Hotel Diggi Palace in Jaipur. They chose the team of Noon Moon Events to pull the celebrations together.
Talking about their experience, Riddhi shares, “With the venue being at a distance, it was very critical for us to have a person on-ground who could help coordinate the wedding prep. We vibed with Simran from Noon Moon Events instantly. She was absolutely on the same wavelength as us and understood our vision for the wedding. We were full of ideas which she helped structure with her experience and creativity. She was truly a one-stop solution for everything we needed for the wedding. Simran was able to quickly envisage how all the spaces at the venue could come alive and was also able to flawlessly execute the same. The decor at our wedding was just fabulous, and way better than we ever imagined it would be. All our guests were suitably charmed and they loved how each event was uniquely designed while merging seamlessly with the venue around it. A big cheer to the on-ground execution team as well. Everything was ready on time and all problems were resolved asap. Overall, our experience with them was incredible”.
Mehndi
Hosted in the beautiful sun-lit courtyard of the property, an intimate Mehndi function and welcome lunch kicked off the festivities. Vibrant colorful decor set a charming tone for the occasion, while lively performances by folk dancers, sumptuous local fare and giveaways painted the day with flavors of Rajasthan, giving their outstation guests a delightful taste of the local culture.
Sangeet
The evening continued with a cozy starlit outdoor Sangeet and Ring Ceremony. Warm lights and floral arrangements were used to delicately elevate the lush space, while neon signs and other elements made for an edgy contrast against the heritage architecture of the property. The night was replete with fun-filled dance performances by the couple and their loved ones as they all let loose and partied the night away.
Haldi
The next morning began with a Haldi & Chooda ceremony. To complement the blue walls of the palace, a stunning decor of white, blue and yellow was chosen for the occasion. The rousing beats of a Dhol troupe had everyone dancing and enjoying, and the day was filled with laughter and music as they doused the couple with turmeric paste and love.
Wedding
Set in shades of red and white with fairy lights, chandeliers and flower canopies, the wedding ceremony invoked royalty with an intimate, elegant touch. The couple exchanged Varmalas against a picturesque canopy of red chandeliers. The mandap of chandeliers, cascading crystals and flower strings set under a magnificent tree stole the show with its ethereal, unique feel.

Advice for couples
“For people planning to get married soon, our advice would be to start shortlisting and booking your ideal venues as soon as possible. Good properties are hard to find and they get booked very quickly. Once that is done, the next step should be to get in touch with a wedding planner. There is a lot that goes behind the scenes in setting up a perfect wedding, with several minute details that most working couples would not have time for. Besides, brainstorming on just weekends isn’t enough. Leave it to the professionals while you worry about the bigger things like picking your wedding outfits, coordinating family meetings, perfecting your dance moves & figuring out invitations. Of course, don’t forget to enjoy every moment while you’re at it!”
