Ritika and Ishaan first met each other in Boston. His ‘furry’ proposal was unique and their wedding pictures showcase the glamour and happiness at the celebrations and here, you can take a peep at the proceedings.
How We Met
Ritika and Ishaan’s love story goes back eight years, to the time when they were introduced to each other by a mutual friend in Boston. While Ishaan was doing his undergraduate studies, Ritika was there on vacation. They got to know each other over time, fell in love, and six years later, they tied the knot.
Proposal
For all the dog lovers out there, this might just melt your heart! Ishaan expressed his love and proposed marriage to Ritika by gifting her a dog called Rooney!
Wedding Venue
The #RIKAP wedding was held at the Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa, the lush seaside resort situated on the Gulf of Siam. The couple chose Thailand, the ‘Land of Smiles’, for their destination wedding. A variety of pristine beaches, diverse wildlife, scenic islands, sumptuous cuisine and a lovely culture, the tropical paradise attracts couples for dreamy destination weddings that make for a memorable experience for their guests too.
Wedding Planning
The wedding was planned and flawlessly executed by Neha Gulati of Mantra Events. With attention to detail and a perfectionist approach, her team orchestrated a dreamy wedding for Ishaan and Ritika. Wedding Functions
Welcome Dinner
The wedding revelry began with a ‘Welcome Dinner.’ All geared up for some merriment, traditional drums, and high spirits, guests from both sides of the families rejoiced with abandon.
Pool Party
A wedding in Thailand is incomplete without a pool party! Right from the couple’s entry on a buggy to the colorful balloon decor, fun and madness surrounded the air as everyone let their hair down.
Sangeet
The pool party was followed by a night on the dance floor that included Thai dancers performing their cultural dances to special performances by family and friends. While the bride looked breathtaking in her golden feathered gown, the groom looked no less dashing in his black outfit.
Wedding
The wedding was an evening event where the bride turned eyes with her gondola entry. Everything about the function, right from the bride’s traditional Sabyasachi lehenga to the white dome-shaped mandap, oozed mesmerizing charm. The marriage ceremony was followed by a small celebration right after. Ritika just changed her style of the dupatta and was ready in a jiffy for her wedding cake cutting ceremony.
