Karan Jurani and Ritoo Prithiani tied the knot in a joyous, intimate setting filled with colors and surrounded by swaying coconut trees. WeddingSutra Favorite – Dark Cup Productions captured their exuberant festivities against the azure seas, glimpses of which are shared below.
How they met
The couple first crossed paths through a mutual friend at a party for the groom’s younger brother. Pune-based Visual Artist Ritoo who came to pick up her friend, was introduced to Karan, who’s based in Sydney. This brief interaction sparked a connection of a lifetime! Phone conversations turned into dates, and before they knew it, they were in love.
The Proposal
Karan swept Ritoo off her feet with a perfectly planned surprise wedding proposal. He whisked her away to a beautiful location where he dropped down on one knee and took her by surprise by popping the question even as she was taking in the sights. Needless to say, her answer was an instant “Yes!”
Wedding Planning
The couple decided to host their intimate wedding celebrations at the beguiling sea-front venue of Prainha Resort by The Sea, for which they entrusted the planning to My Eventz. Every second of their colorful revelries were captured in breathtaking shots by Dark Cup Productions. The bride herself designed the invites for the wedding.
Wedding Functions
Mehndi
A delightfully quirky and colorful mehndi function kicked off the celebrations. Vibrant hues of pink, orange, yellow and blue set a lively ambience, while Dhol beats and dancing added to the peppy atmosphere as the bride and her guests had their hands decorated with henna. The bride looked radiant in a yellow lehenga with mirror detailing, while the groom opted for the easy grace of a mint kurta and a floral sherwani.
Wedding
Set up in soft, soothing pastel hues, the wedding ceremony was a serene, laidback affair. Plush outdoor seating of mattresses and cushions for the guests flanked the aisle to the dainty floral mandap where the couple tied the knot. The bride’s delicately embroidered pastel lehenga perfectly complimented the groom’s classic ivory sherwani as they took their vows against the setting sun.
