Wedding Venue
Nothing spells royal weddings like the iconic palace and fort hotels of Rajasthan, and the couple turned to the heritage and charm of the pink city for their dream destination getaway. Opting for multiple venues, they hosted their mehndi and wedding festivities at the esteemed Jai Mahal Palace while their Sufi Night, Sangeet, and Reception were held at Rambagh Palace Jaipur.
Planning
The couple was looking for a wedding that was contemporary, colorful, and fun, just like them, and entrusted Rajat Sogani & Devang Shah of 7X Weddings to design their celebrations. From decor to culinary offerings, invites, entertainment, and more, every detail was curated and exquisitely crafted to reflect and celebrate their personalities.
Wedding Functions
Sufi night
Kicking off the festivities with the mystical allure of the Middle East, the Sufi night saw ornate Arabian decor and live Qawali music. Hosted outdoors, the magical setup of red florals, green glass lamps, exquisitely carved metal memorabilia, and more, all of which were under a canopy of Arabic carpets. Dressed in the classic combination of red and black, the couple made a stately entrance for the night.
Haldi and Mehndi
Dubbed ‘La Dolce Vita’, the Mehndi and haldi soiree recreated the sunkissed charm of Sicily against the traditional Rajasthani architecture of the hotel for an utterly unique experience. A vibrant palette of white and blue took over the lush gardens with decor that included unmistakable Italian elements such as bold prints, limoncello, abundant yellow flowers, and more. The guests were greeted by a champagne wall and delectable Laduree macarons as they enjoyed the morning soiree, before revelling in the haldi shenanigans. The bride and groom sported chic sage green couture ensembles, making for an offbeat and exciting choice for the occasion.
Sangeet
The evening revved up with a Sangeet that was all things glamor, with the edgy decor of metallic accents, luxurious furniture, magical lighting, plush bar set up, and more, that evoked the experience of being in an elite nightclub. The decadent night of music, cocktails, and celebrity performances by the likes of Guru Randhawa and Sukhbir saw high spirits and merriment as the couple and their loved ones danced the night away. The bride and groom matched the mood by sporting luxe textures, shimmering details, and feathers.
Wedding
The next morning began with a quaint ceremony of varmala, bedecked with delicate floral decor that lit up the space. Dressed in serene hues of ivory and peach, the couple exchanged garlands amidst great cheer, followed by a traditional Anand Karaj at the Gurdwara.
Reception
Ending the festivities on a high, the stunning Reception soiree was high on grandeur and romance. Imagined in a rich palette of jewel tones, the decor was resplendent with candles, flowers, luxe drapes, and whimsical arrangements of baby’s breath. The evening saw warm toasts, cake-cutting, dance performances, and power-packed entertainment by musical maestros Salim-Sulaiman! It was a fitting finale for the grand destination wedding.
