How they met
They say when two people are meant to be, the Universe finds a way to bring them together! After an initial setup by their mutual friend at the end of 2020 went awry, Navin seized the opportunity again a year later after some prodding by their friend, and as fate would have it, he hit the jackpot! Their connection was intense and electric, and in no time they knew they had found their perfect partner. They were engaged and planning their happily-ever-after within a month, and there was no looking back!
Wedding Planning
With 3 months to plan, the couple turned to a team of talented vendors to pull together the wedding of their dreams. Ruchika shares, “Having limited time helped us avoid procrastination and get things done efficiently. I knew exactly what I wanted in terms of the decor and setup and themes. It took just one visit to fix Radisson Blu Udaipur Palace Resort and Spa as the venue, and after meeting a few planners, we chose The Venue Company to handle everything. We chose to go with local vendors and planners, and that helped immensely considering the Pandemic restrictions and safety concerns.”
Talking about their experience with Jayesh Photography, she shares, “Jayesh’s work is exceptional, to say the least. He and his entire team took the time to understand what we wanted from our wedding video, and put together a collection of the most beautiful memories from the wedding. He captures raw, unfiltered emotions and turns them into works of art. You don’t feel overwhelmed or unsure at any point because he puts you at ease, and lets you be yourselves. We are thrilled to have these memories preserved for life so beautifully, and we would recommend him to everyone.”
Wedding Functions
Mehndi
The festivities kicked off with a refreshing pastel mehndi soiree filled with quaint floral decor, moments of love, and laughter. Spring blooms, pampas grass, and drapes in delicate hues of pink looked magical against the pristine white facade of the palace property. Dancing their way through the function, the couple looked idyllic in their coordinated pink ensembles.
Sangeet
Orchestrated in the grand ballroom of the palace, the Sangeet function was a royal take on the glitz and glam of the musical occasion. A canopy of string lights welcomed the guests into the evening while magnificent crystal chandeliers, a vividly designed stage, and eclectic jewel-toned lights added to the magic. Flaunting a shimmering silver couture lehenga and a dapper black tuxedo, the bride and groom entered with an entourage of performers. The evening saw memorable dances by the couple and their loved ones.
Haldi
The following morning was drenched in the sunny exuberance of yellow marigolds and the couple geared up for the haldi ritual. The bride looked divine in a yellow and red kanjeevaram saree for the occasion, complete with temple jewelry and a stunning jeweled braid, while the groom opted for a cotton kurta set. The two looked blissfully happy as they sat in front of a riveting marigold wall while their loved ones showered them with haldi and flower petals.
Wedding
Steeped in the royal decor of red and gold, the wedding was straight out of a fairytale. Contrasting the rich traditional palette with their ethereal pastel ensembles, the couple looked like modern royalty as they exchanged varmalas amidst a grand display of fireworks.
