Saachi Asthana and Yash Dalal rang in their wedding with stellar celebrations in diverse venues across Mumbai. Captured in vivid beauty by WeddingSutra Favorite – WhatKnot, their festivities saw awe-inspiring decor and design by WeddingSutra Favorite – House of Vivaah.

How they met
Saachi and Yash were first introduced to each other by some common friends in 2015. Little did they know that the place they first met, Hoppipola bar in Lower Parel, would end up having such importance in their lives in the future, from becoming their regular haunt to even inspiring their wedding hashtag – ‘HoppilyEverAfter’!

The Proposal
Saachi shares, “Only Yash can pull off such an amazingly planned proposal! At the peak of the pandemic, he surprised me at home on a Monday morning. While I thought I was getting ready for a hectic workday, he whisked me away to Udaipur! There, on the Mewar Terrace of Taj Lake Palace, he asked me to marry him in the most unforgettable way possible!

Wedding Planning
Hosting their wedding across Trident Hotel Nariman Point and Gallops, the couple got on board ANS Weddings to plan their celebrations, most of the decor details of which were designed and executed to perfection by the renowned team of House of Vivaah.

Saachi shares, “Getting the right photographers on board was our top priority when planning the wedding, as we did not want to compromise on this. We heard about WhatKnot from some friends and after checking out their Instagram page, we were convinced. The team was forthcoming and delightful and did a fabulous job at capturing all the beautiful memories from our wedding. Our pictures from the varmala, my father’s reaction as I walk towards the stage, the look on Yash’s face when he saw me as a bride, every nuance and aesthetic of the wedding was captured in unimaginable beauty and are cherished so much.”

From choreographers to makeup artists, outfit designers, and more, all their vendors were chosen thoughtfully to bring the vision of their wedding to life.

Wedding Functions
Groom’s Haldi
The festivities were kicked off with an intimate home-held haldi ceremony for the groom. The simple decor of marigolds set the backdrop for the rituals while the groom sported a yellow kurta as per customs for the occasion.

Mehndi
Starting the festivities at the Trident Hotel on a lively note, the indoor mehndi soiree saw vibrant decor in hues of yellow, pink, and orange. A statement marigold backdrop, quirky paper fans, eclectic elements, and more added to the vibrance of the decor. The bride sported a bright yellow lehenga while the groom wore a soft mint kurta as they celebrated and danced with their loved ones.

Bride’s Haldi
The sunny decor of marigolds, showers of flower petals, and a whole lot of fun and love painted the morning for the bride’s haldi and choora ceremony. Flaunting a riveting shade of pink, she looked radiant as her loved ones anointed her with turmeric.

Wedding
Hosted against the lush backdrop of Gallops in Mahalaxmi Racecourse, the wedding ceremony was a pastel dream full of flowers and greenery. Matching the ambiance in a dreamy sage green lehenga and cream sherwani respectively, the bride and groom painted a portrait of love as they tied the knot under a canopy of shimmering crystals and flowers.

Cocktail
The merriment was kicked into high gear with glitzy Cocktails with edgy decor, delicious drinks, magical lighting, and high-octane festivities. Dressed in a ravishing red lehenga and a dapper tuxedo, the bride and groom set the dance floor on fire with their moves, with all their loved ones joining for a night of non-stop entertainment.
