Despite having studied in the same school, it was years later that a chance conversation on Instagram sparked a connection of a lifetime between Saloni and Krishnan.
Wedding Planning
The couple embraced the natural mountain beauty for the wedding festivities, hosting them at the beautiful riverfront Hotel River Retreat in Dharamshala, the planning for which was done by The Millennial Bridesmaid. To capture the nuances of their love and celebrations, they entrusted the team of The Blemished Tales. They share, “Nandini and her team were the most integral part of our wedding planning. Right from the pre wedding photoshoot to our engagement, and then our entire wedding, we thoroughly loved working with them. They acquainted themselves with us effortlessly which showed in the shots, and we were beyond ecstatic by the results. They have duly given us incredible memories for a lifetime.”
Wedding Functions
Mehndi
The celebrations started with a sunny Mehndi celebration. A decor of drapes, teepees, and flowers in pastel candy tones painted a cheerful picture against the blue skies and hills beyond. Dressed in matching shades of soft mint, the couple appeared smitten as they sat on a pretty floral swing.
Haldi
In honor of Krishnan’s heritage, the Haldi function was infused with flavors of South India. The women wore white and gold Kasavu sarees and the men wore Mundus. Saloni teamed her beautiful white and red saree with floral jewelry and hair accessories. Sitting in front of a simple yet stunning backdrop of marigolds, the couple was anointed with turmeric paste.
Wedding
The wedding imbued the traditional richness of red and gold while maintaining an elegant and timeless ambience. Delicate floral arrangements decked the decor with some freshness, while strings of bistro lights above added a laid-back sophistication to the evening. Dressed in a divine red and gold lehenga, the bride entered walking under a red umbrella with her family, while the groom arrived in style on a vintage Vespa. The nuptials were followed by spirited revelries as the couple danced and rejoiced with their loved ones.
