Sanjna Ganapathy and Nitin Cariappa revisited the nostalgia and lush greenery of their hometown of Coorg with an intimate, traditional wedding celebration at Taj West End, Bangalore. Simple yet brimming with memorable moments, the wedding was orchestrated by WeddingSutra Favorite – Wedlock Weddings by Vima, glimpses of which are shared below.

How They Met
Sanjna is a Bangalore-based Data Engineer and Food Blogger, while Nitin is a Mechanical Engineer working for Volvo in Sweden. Living across the world, their love started and bloomed over Facetime. After two months of conversation, they met when Nitin flew to India and felt an instant connection, which got the blessing and encouragement of their families wholeheartedly. Their whirlwind courtship was commemorated with an unforgettable proposal when Nitin popped the question to Sanjna under the breathtaking northern lights.

Wedding Venues
Since the couple tied the knot amidst the Pandemic, they wanted a venue that was convenient, while remaining close to their hearts. The wedding was hosted in Bangalore, the bride’s city of residence. While they chose Taj MG Road for an informal welcome dinner and hosted the pre-wedding festivities at the bride’s home, they chose the lush property of Taj West End for the wedding ceremony. The hotel’s surrounding greenery reminded the couple of their hometown of Coorg, while the spacious indoor and outdoor seating options allowed them a lot of flexibility for their function.

Wedding Planning
For their intimate wedding celebration, the couple entrusted the team of Wedlock Weddings by Vima to bring their vision to life. The bride shares, “Our experience with Vima was brilliant. She put everything together in just 10 days because I got in touch with her pretty much at the last minute, as our wedding had been pushed around because of the Pandemic. She was extremely meticulous while comprehending our traditions, and subsequently executed them with great ease and attention to detail.”

The couple flagged off their festivities by welcoming their loved ones and spending some quality time at Taj MG Road over a sumptuous dinner and drinks which was enjoyed in a beautifully lit, relaxed outdoor setting.

Mehndi
The vibrant Mehndi function was an impromptu intimate affair at the bride’s home. The bride got her hands covered with beautiful henna designs as everyone laughed, enjoyed and made merry. A simple decor of flowers and garlands decked the space for a festive feel, while a table of tasty snacks, desserts, and drinks awaited the guests. The highlight was the couple’s fur baby Kenzo, who enjoyed himself thoroughly while bringing a smile to everyone’s faces.

Wedding
Brimming with warm traditions of Coorgi culture, the wedding was hosted with both indoor and outdoor rituals at the Taj West End, Bangalore, the lush greenery and surroundings of which transported them to memories of Coorg, their hometown. The decor was kept to a minimal to let the beautiful backdrop of the hotel, rituals and family moments shine. The bride looked breathtaking in a red silk saree and gold jewelry, while the groom donned a traditional ensemble of white and red.
