Brimming with joy, the union of Sargam and Aditya was a vibrant four-day celebration. Hosted at The Oxford Golf Resort Pune, the duo looked stunning as they tied the knot despite the odds bang in the middle of two lockdowns. Planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Krayonz Entertainment who were meticulous and paid great attention to detail while orchestrating a flawless wedding for these two kindred spirits, this wedding was replete with loving moments.

How They Met
Sargam shares, “We started off as close friends for the first one or two years. But then one fine day which also happened to be my birthday, we ended up confessing our feelings for each other. Since then, there was no looking back as we took our relationship to the next level and started dating.”
The Proposal
“On our three-year anniversary, Aditya suggested that we take a trip together. We have taken many trips together previously, so it didn’t come as a surprise when he suggested the same. Besides, I had no reason to guess his intentions to propose as he’d earlier thrown me off by suggesting he wasn’t ready for marriage yet. We took off to the Maldives where he’d informed the hotel staff to play along with his plans. Once we were there, the hotel staff cleverly suggested that we visit a deserted island which we arrived at on a jet ski. We chilled there for a while as we enjoyed some snacks and played in the water. As our butler came to pick us up by the end of the day, we walked towards the boat and behind a bamboo barrier was an amazing set-up inscribed with the words ‘Will you marry me?’ I was completely taken aback! It was the most amazing experience of my life.”
Wedding Planning
After changing their plans to wed in November due to the pandemic, the duo decided to defer the date of the wedding to February. Sargam shares, “I think we got married on the perfect date set between two lockdowns.”
They roped in Krayonz Entertainment who left them impressed with their creativity and understanding as they helped make their wedding dreams a reality. The happy bride shares, “My experience of working with team Krayonz Entertainment was absolutely amazing. Their suggestions were so much better than what we had envisioned. They just made the whole process so easy! Keeping in mind that we were amidst a pandemic, all our guests and vendors were tested. They handled this challenging task so smoothly! The team coordinated with the guests and sent them the test results promptly. Every single thing was done by them, so we didn’t have to worry about anything as we celebrated our wedding. Each detail was looked into, right from the sound to the stage and the entire setup. In totality, they made the planning process so seamless that we had no pre-wedding stress to deal with at all! We would happily recommend them to others!”
Weddings Functions
Family Mehndi
“Hosted by the pool, the family Mehndi boasted of a beautiful setup where we had a great time as we got henna patterned on our palms while listening to a live singer.”, describes Sargam.
Sundowner Mehndi
“In the evening following the family mehndi, a sundowner mehndi event named ‘Mehndi under the stars’ was organized for all our guests. We had the most phenomenal setup with a full-blown concert stage and gold lights that twinkled under the sky. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on our side as it started raining. This, in turn, prompted us to shift indoors where everyone bantered and enjoyed drinks. Luckily, the rain let up and we were able to enjoy the party outdoors and revel to the tunes of Manasi Scott.”
Brunch
“Following a Mykonos theme, swathed in the classic shades of blue and white, the ‘Bellini Brunch’ was adorned with delicate pink blooms. It was a casual brunch which encouraged everyone to unwind as they recovered from the sundowner’s hangover.”
Sangeet
“We wanted the Sangeet to be very crisp and so we had a talented three-piece band that played different instruments welcoming all the guests. After a dreamy entry where we were flanked by girls in pristine white dresses our family and loved ones performed on stage leaving us in awe. It was an event filled with cute and fun moments where everyone shared friendly banter. Post that we had the DJ ensuring that everyone shook a leg at the after-party in great revelry.”
Haldi
A fairly intimate affair that stayed true to tradition, the Haldi was steeped in simplicity and punctuated with boisterous moments. As the duo’s loved ones slathered them with turmeric to get their wedding glow on, the playful function had everyone sharing smiles.
Wedding
“My bridal entry consisted of a flute player playing mesmerizing tunes as he walked ahead of me, while my brothers held up the chaddar. The decor was extremely dreamy as it was replete with pink blooms and lit up with dainty fairy lights. Although Aditya arrived a tad bit late with his baraat in tow, it was a boisterous and exciting affair!” shares Sargam.
After Party
“Following the theme ‘back to school’ all our friends were taken by surprise at the after-party as we hadn’t previously revealed its theme to them. Everyone sported athleisure and we had a checkered dance floor that resembled a chessboard, a school board for a DJ console and a bar that had a periodic table for a backdrop.”, shared Sargam.
Advice for Couples
“Indian weddings are no cakewalk and now with the pandemic it’s become all the more challenging. I would honestly suggest going with the flow and not go overboard with the planning. Remember to have a plan B in mind in case things don’t work out as per your vision. Enjoy it to the fullest, no matter what!” advises Sargam.
