How they met
Shalki shares, “We graduated college together and got our first job in the same city – Chennai, and that is where our journey from best friends to life partners commenced. After a few years, we realized what we felt for each other was surely more than just friendship. Marriage is built on the bedrock of trust, and we have trusted each other with everything for almost 7 years. We knew then that we had found our soulmates in each other, and decided on forever and beyond.”
Wedding planning
The couple chose the verdant property of The Palms Town & Country Club in Gurgaon as the canvas for their dream wedding, which was brought to life with utter perfection by the team of Wedding Darzi. The renowned team of Happyframes was tasked with capturing their special moments in beautiful frames.

Cocktail
The glitz and glamor of the Cocktail soiree got everyone into high spirits for an evening of music, dance, games, and a whole lot of fun. Dressed in a ravishing red couture gown and a dapper tuxedo, the bride and groom made a dazzling entry, setting the tone for all to come. Conversations flowed freely with drinks from the chic cocktail tower, while entertaining games, dance performances, and more made the night unforgettable.
Haldi
Bright hues of the Haldi function lit up against the lush green lawns of the property for a morning of lively revelries. The decor of vibrant drapes and tons of marigolds filled the occasion with joy. Dressed in matching yellow ensembles, the bride and groom stood out against their guests all of whom dressed up in electric blue and poppy pink, making for stunning visual moments.
Wedding
The romantic spring wedding was a dream come true for the couple, who had always wanted to celebrate their love with friends and family in an intimate affair full of emotions and love. The bride’s love of the color lilac inspired everything from the soft pastel color palette of the decor to the wedding outfits of not just the couple but also their entourage. Exuding a classic British vibe, the day wedding saw stunning decor and tender moments. As the couple tied the knot, all their guests rang bells in a tranquil symphony of love in celebration of their new life together.
Advice for couples
“Onboarding the right wedding planner goes a long way. So while selecting the one, have an open-hearted conversation and trust your instincts. Come up with a planner and tracker with your wedding planner, jot every single idea and plan in it along the way, and try to stick to the deadlines. Also, ensure that you book the venue and the makeup artist at least 6 months in advance if possible.”
