The happily ever after of a digital love story, Shikha Bhargava and Nitin Awasthi’s wedding celebration saw beautiful décor and blissful moments. Planned to perfection by WeddingSutra Favorite – Plush weddings, glimpses of their festivities are shared below.

How They Met
The couple chanced upon each other over social media in 2016, and instantly hit it off. They connected over a shared love of food, music and travel, and it wasn’t long before dinners and movies turned into an endearing love of a lifetime.

Wedding Planning
The couple entrusted the team of Plush weddings for the planning. They share, “Ruchika was superbly understanding of our vision and executed the décor and functions to exactly how we wanted it to be. We trusted her and her able team completely whereby they delivered our vision to precision. What we loved most was their incredible floral work and their unique ideation for the décor.”

Wedding Functions
Engagement
Hosted amidst the beguiling lushness of Karma Lakelands in Gurugram, the festivities kicked off with an Engagement Party.

Mehndi
A vibrant confluence of pink and yellow, the Mehndi festivities looked beautiful against the lush greenery of the venue. Quirky elements such as flamingoes, dreamcatchers, parrots and more, added a fun vibe to the bright drapes, cabanas and flowers. Dressed in hues of blue and white, the couple perfectly complemented the décor.

Haldi
The next day commenced with a function as vibrant as the day before, celebrating the Haldi rituals. Hues of yellow, white and pink ruled the lively décor. The bride wore a lime-green saree, teamed with a shimmering belt and floral jewellery, while the groom kept it sunny with a yellow kurta. Seated in front of a quirky backdrop of white and yellow tassels, the couple was smeared with turmeric paste by their loved ones.

Wedding
The sundowner wedding was themed around romantic hues of blush pink which came alive under the rays of the setting sun. The boho-chic mandap saw a canopy of flower baskets, as well as festoons of blooms and pampas grass. The groom complemented the décor in an intricately detailed ensemble of white and pink, while the bride stood out in a teal blue lehenga for the pheras.

Advice for Couples
“The most important thing we learnt from our wedding planning experience is that the right combination of vendors is the key to a successful wedding celebration. Everyone from the decorator to a photographer needs to be chosen with a lot of consideration. We are very grateful to all the wonderful teams we worked with, who did everything beautifully and allowed us to enjoy the whole process without worrying about the nitty-gritty.”
